In general, the room is clean and nothing more, but the rooms are rather ”tired”.
No slippers / bathrobes - and although this is the norm for a three-star hotel, nevertheless, the absence of even a soap dish for bar soap provided by the hotel itself is already interesting)
The shower cabin was leaking, we had to wipe the formed puddles with towels. At the junction of the cabin with ceramic tiles, black mold is possible, black plaque is possible, but most likely mold. In Portugal, the presence of mold is like snow in Russia in winter - for granted) But the water pressure in the shower was such that at least do yourself a hydromassage - I really liked it))
The mattress is quite hard, those who have a sore back are unlikely to appreciate it, but massive comrades will be very comfortable, the mattress practically does not slip.
There is a kettle and cardboard cups in the room which is a big plus.
For those who are interested - TV catches almost all possible channels.
Breakfast is typical European: yoghurts, muesli, sliced cheeses and ham, bread. sweet buns and pastries, boiled eggs, fruits, tea and coffee. Nothing special but you won't leave hungry. The cost of breakfast is 18 euros for two.

Had a suite and the room was great. Very helpful and positive staff at the reception. But we had a terrible experience in the hotel restaurant. Ordered a 14£ Cesar salads. And it was mainly bread pieces. No chicken or bacon at all. When we inquired about this, we were told, this was the Portuguese way to serve it. And this was a boldface lie. Very disappointing as the hotel was really nice.

Booked this hotel directly via the ITG website . Yes its in Vila de Gaia -on the other side of the river from Porto old town -but public transport is available close by and Uber rides are around 4 Euros .....or hotel can call a taxi for you . The hotel is host to some airline personnel ,tour groups .....and the odd football team (Benfica on this occasion ) turns up pre match . On this side of the river you are close to El Corte Ingles department store and Shopping Gaia shopping centre if retail therapy is your thing ....and there are some individual shops /supermarkets /restaurants /cafes close by . A few weeks before we were due to travel my husband broke his collar bone . I e -mailed the hotel to ask if we could have a room with a walk in shower just to make it a bit easier . Got a very quick reply from the hotel saying that they could certainly do that ......so not only did we have a room with a walk in shower ,we had a suite . It was just so spacious & comfortable and made our stay even more enjoyable . I cannot praise the staff in this hotel enough -reception , bar ,restaurants, housekeeping -all so helpful and friendly during our stay. Reception staff were so helpful in providing Information ,maps and directions and giving restaurant recommendations . The hotel was spotless and well maintained and our room was serviced daily. There was an excellent choice at breakfast -served between 7AM _10-30 . We had lunch /dinner in the hotel bar /restaurant a couple of times during our stay -mainly for convenience as we didn't have the best of weather during our stay and we enjoyed a ”nightcap ” in the hotel bar each evening . I didn't use the spa or gym /fitness facility on this occasion so can't really comment but note other reviews are positive . When planning our trip we did consider a few different hotels on the Porto side as well as some apartments but kept coming back to this hotel based on price & reviews -for us on this occasion we deffinately made the right choice and would stay here again .

I only stayed for one night -! Nonetheless, I was very satisfied. There was plenty of bed space and even though it was a shared room, the bathroom was sufficient so there was no inconvenience.

We stayed at this hotel on a bed and breakfast basis for 7 nights. The hotel was modern and clean, staff were very helpful. The room was cleaned daily and products restocked. The location was perfect for us as situated close to motorway. We had a hire car for the week so the hotel car park was great for us. Burger King was next door so handy if wanted a quick coffee day or night. The hotel does have a bar. Breakfast was scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage, alongside a full continental selection. I recommend this hotel, we would certainly stay there again.

Porto has always been rated highly so was a little concerned that the Novotel was on the other side of the Douro River. Quickly dismissed on arrival when we were greeted at reception by Aderito Diaspora. A most charming man who made every one signing in to the hotel feel very special - being multilingual helps. Free with advice on what to see, what and where to eat and the best places for shopping. A trip into Porto was a little as €4 and never more than €10 and this included a ride to beautiful shopping complex of El Conte Ingles. So leaving the hustle and bustle of Oporto to the calm of Afurada was a plus. The suggestion to walk down to the quaint fishing village of San Pedro with an Uber to take us back was greatly appreciated as we were able to see the Uber coming right up to our restaurant table. All hotels should have an Aderito Diaspora.

Due to price and proximity to the airport, I chose to stay here for a night while waiting for my flight back to the USA. Why due to price, might you ask? Well, doesn’t 63 USD sound amazing, especially since neighboring hotels were selling in the hundreds that same night? I tried booking that young-adult discount rate online prior to arriving at the property, which I knew was only available for purchase on the official hotel site but assumed I could easily get at the check-in counter as well. The site was down or not accepting my bank account for whatever reason, even after clearing all fraud protection freezes and things like that. Please know that when I say the following, I’m not putting direct blame on the individual staff members at Stay Hotel Porto Airport. I’m putting blame on the larger system. BUT it still needs to be said. I wish the staff could have quickly given me the $63 rate at the check-in counter, KNOWING I was having trouble with the website/app and should’ve been entitled to it with a better payment method. By the time I tried and tried and tried to get the rate to go through, the $63 rate had expired and the next best option was for $81, still exclusive to the app. And sure enough, know what happened when I tried paying for the $81? Still no luck. When the clock struck midnight, all hope was lost for a cheaper rate—the app reset its prices to the next night, and I had to pay a rate of around $100 at the counter to get a room right then. A valid argument could be to ask why I’m this picky about the prices, since when viewing it macroscopically, the differences aren’t that extreme. But I was traveling on a VERY tight budget. Every little amount counts a ton. And being at the end of my trip, my finances were in jeopardy more than they’d been at any other point in Europe. So I lost out on 40 bucks, which adjusted for non-backpacker inflation is 400 bucks. Or more. The last thing I’m going to add to the unfortunate pricing situation is one where I feel arguably the most disappointed about. Yes it’s apparently company rules not to book rates over the counter that are supposed to be booked online. But I didn’t feel that sense of sympathy or apology from either of the two employees at the desk. They were kind and friendly enough, which was expected—but when something goes wrong out of the customer’s control, I also expect clear, explicit concern and care to be verbalized. I don’t think they really “cared” that I missed out on a cheap rate because their company’s app payment portal malfunctioned. One of the ladies even told me (when I asked if this was a common issue with foreigners) that this scenario occurs roughly once each WEEK, which she labeled as not very common…but I beg to differ. I’m not saying they should fix the app issue…but they should’ve given me something like an apology. Quickly to fulfill my job responsibilities as an objective and comprehensive reviewer…the room was clean and comfy, the bathroom was spacious with

Outstanding
GGuest UserPerfect location to explore Porto as it's close to the action on both sides of the river AND, this is a GREAT TIP, you can easily cross the bridge at the top or bottom and not have to walk the long way up/down on the streets because you can use the hotel's elevator! Another tip / warning – we drove here and used maps on our iPhone and the pin drop is off. I think Google Maps might be more accurate. There is onsite parking and you have in/out access yourself without having to use Valet. I'd also add the breakfast was outstanding, the staff was super accommodating, the bed was comfortable, and there was great water pressure in the shower. I'd recommend this to anyone traveling to Porto!
We absolutely LOVED our stay at the Rebello. The Rebello is the type of hotel that other hotels should send their staff to visit and learn - they just have it so right. It's rare for us to go to a European city and dine in the hotel restaurant but we actually ate on two evenings - once on the rooftop and once in the Pot and Pan. Both were lovely and the service in the restaurant was exceptional. Its disappointing to see it wasn't that busy on any of the evenings- its really a gem that you need to dine in when in porto. All of the staff we encountered were fantastic. Really helpful and the whatsapp messaging service is a lovely touch. The hotel is newly opened so I hope they keep up the same levels of cleanliness and service. It's a little bit out of the centre but that didn't bother us at all, we walked in during the day and got an uber back in the evenings. Uber in Porto is very good value. We sadly didn't use the spa or pool but we will 100% return to Porto for a weekend break, just to stay at the Rebello!
CCDAGAMAThe hotel is perfect, the facilities and the service is the best!! The room are spectacular and very comfortable, they make you feel like feel in home! Best place to stay if you go to Porto, and you don’t want to be in downtown!!! 5 to 5 !! 🙌🏻
Sophia was at the hotel reception when we checked In. she welcomed us with a big smile and explained effectively the hotel rules. when we came to the room we asked for 2 single blankets for the bed instead the big one. No problem answered Sophia in the reception, and after 2 minutes she came with the blankets, she took the big one, and she herself arranged the blankets in the bad. Later, the bathroom was flooded with water by mistake. We called the reception to Sophia, she came immediately to see, and after 2 minutes she returned with tool and dried the bathroom. We were at the hotel for 3 nights and every time we passed near the reception Sophia was there interested our wellbeing with her big smile. But if you think you've seen everything of Sophia you're wrong . just before we had to do checkout , we got a massage from the airline that out flight back home delayed for tomorrow. sophia told us that the hotel is fully booked , but she took out problem into her own hands and found us another hotel 200 meters away, and then, without asking us, she took in her hands our 2 suitcases, walked with it to the new hotel and we are after her. when we got there we found there is no elevatore and the reception was on the second floor. Sophia raised in her own hands our 2 suitcases upstairs to the reception!!! We are around the age of 70. Sophia is a valuable asset to the hotel. Thank you again Sophia, you are magnificent and as I told you, you have a very very big heart. doron.
Gorgeous hotel on back streets of Vila Gaia. It's like the Tardis meets the Secret Garden. Go through the front door into an elegant lobby.Lots of lovely space in the inner garden. Pretty breakfast room and we has bedroom in newer section of hotel overlooking the gardens with view of cable cars and World of Wine. All the staff were very friendly and owners especially so. If I was coming to Porto again, I would definitely stay here. Ate out at Vinum at Grahams Port- pricey but worth the experience- and then at two local restaurants on same street as hotel. Cozinha de Ci ( or something like that) run by mother daughter team, 20 covers and full by 7.10pm. Get there early and wait for it to open. Also Taste and Meet Portugal which was ok; girls watiressing were amazing and v friendly...couple of boys bit more powermad and less friendly.
GGuest UserThe place had an incredible view of the Duoro river, with walking distance to upper and lower Porto, which were unbeatable. The unit also came with its own parking spot few streets down the main building, which is rare to find in Porto. However, the entrance to the apartment is very dangerous as it requires 3 flights of narrow and uneven stairs. There was also a very unpleasant odor in the hallway leading to the apartment, with random ikea bags lined up in the staircase. The apartment itself is very clean, however; it’s very small and tight, which was noticed in the bedroom as the bed barely fit into the room. The bathroom itself required some maintained & attention, as it appeared to have some black mold in the shower or “black silicone” which was mentioned to us by the owner after we shared our concerns reaching to him on a platform. There was also a very unpleasant sewerage smell all throughout the unit, which is possibly from the bathroom pipes. When we reached out to the owner in regards to our concerns after our stay, we were informed that these apartments and building is old due to Porto history and not up to “American” standards. In our opinion, the only good thing about this apartment was view and location. It wasn’t a warm or a welcoming place.
ССтепановМихаилExcellent hotel. Great service. In the next building there is a large mall with a good food court and Auchan. Excellent breakfast at the hotel for 15 euros. The child is free. I slightly lowered my rating for the location - it’s impossible to get anywhere on foot other than the mall, but the impeccably working and inexpensive Uber helps out (7 euros to Matosinhes).
YYIBOA five-star hotel, with lots of swimming pools and a beautiful scenery! The Atlantic Ocean is behind this hotel! It's 10 minutes' walk away. It was a pity that I was busy with work and had no chance to swim!
Staff really friendly and helpful. Hotel very tired - pieces of furniture that smelled old and unused. Neither the steam room or the sauna were operational one of the main reasons that we had booked this hotel so frustrating to say the least. Breakfast mediocre If the above does not worry you then enjoy the location only 20 metre (approx) from the ocean excellent promenade that goes for miles and miles
