Pestana Vila Sol Golf & Resort Hotel

The staff make the hotel really . They are brilliant.very kind and great service . However the breakfast and the amenities like the indoor pool are not up to scratch for 5 star hotel . Breakfast was very low in quality and the indoor pool was so dated , small and honestly terrible. The outdoor pool could use renovation too. The gym (you can’t even call it a gym as there is about 5 pieces of equipment in it). My room was absolutely fab. Really liked it and loved where I was positioned, had the sun on it I’ll afternoon. Big rooms too either big balcony’s. They should have a shuttle down to the marina like most other 5 star hotels in the area as it is far. If you are a golfer I think you will enjoy this place , if you’re not then maybe somewhere with more amenities might be better for you.

5 stars but in reality it’s a 3 stars hotel! No intimacy between the room terrace, you can see green in the pools at the level of the water. Breakfast is so bad

Hotel Stay Review Our recent stay was very enjoyable, with plenty of thoughtful touches and conveniences. Room & Amenities: • Toiletries (body wash, shampoo, and hand soap) smelled lovely. • Rooms were spotless and cleaned promptly every day. • Air conditioning worked perfectly (set to 16°C). • Kettle and iron provided in every room, along with a small supply of coffee, tea, and milk. • Under-counter fridge worked well. • Double bed was huge and very comfortable. • Outside area included two chairs, a small table, and a lounger. • Ice bucket provided in the evening upon request. Facilities & Dining: • Enjoyed having two pool options; Wi-Fi even reached the pool and worked well. • Breakfast had a good variety, with a high-quality coffee machine. • Buffet had a theme night every evening. • Lunch at the bar (Tapas: calamari rings, chips with cheese and bacon, two ciders, one spicy Pimms, and two ice lollies) came to £50.44. Location & Transport: • No shops within walking distance. • Closest LIDL was about £7 by BOLT taxi; Old Town was £9, and return to the villa £15. • BOLT app for transport worked very well—highly recommend. Overall, this hotel offered a clean, comfortable stay with excellent service, great facilities, and plenty of little extras that made the experience memorable.

We stayed at Pestana Vila Sol in June having chosen here due to its proximity to the golf course where we played golf and afterwards enjoyed the swimming pool and evening visits to the close Vilamoura. The staff were extremely welcoming and any issues faced were dealt with quickly and professionally. Our garden room was perfect offering a small terrace, the bed was enormous and the bathroom modern and clean. For the golfers out there, staying at the Pestana means your green fees are reduced by 50% and they offer competitive club hire if you're not bringing your own! I would highly recommend a stay here and will most definitely return
