La Porta del Mare is an absolute gem and we are thrilled to have found it. Everything was arranged efficiently for check in, during our stay and departure. Angelo is a warm, welcoming and delightful host, as is Rosa and her colleagues who provided our continental buffet breakfast each day with charm and delight. The room and property is beautiful; we had a room facing into the lovely garden. A beautiful sandy beach, public and private, is 5 minutes walk. We have no hesitation in recommending this accommodation which has been a highlight during our time in Italy.

We had a great stay here for 3 nights 4 days. The room was spacious and clean with a balcony. Angelo was very nice and helpful, along with the staff. The breakfast was amazing with variety and fresh orange juice. Very nice overall

Siamo stati una settimana nell'appartamento con due camere da letto e non abbiamo potuto disfare le valigie perché cassetti e armadi puzzavano tremendamente di muffa. La parte in ceramica della abajour sul comodino rotta, rischio di farsi male ogni volta per accendere la luce. Wi fi non funzionante in casa, strada sterrata di fronte. A colazione il primo giorno c'era una sorta di ciambellone che è stato riproposto per l'intera settimana (lo stesso ciambellone). Unica nota positiva la ragazza che ogni mattina ci accoglieva con il sorriso. Il proprietario si limitava a stare seduto sul divanetto e guardava le sue collaboratrici donne dannarsi x accontentare gli ospiti. Pessimo esempio. Mi spiace ma è stato una delusione, non lo consiglierei mai.

My fiancé and I spent 10 days in South Italy. No where did we find greater hospitality than at La Porta del Mare. Our rental car broke down when we got to Villapiana and while that car company left us stranded, our gracious host, Angelo, was so kind to drive us to a café for lunch and then to the train station so that we could continue on our journey. I would give Angelo 10 stars if that were an option! In addition to their hospitality, the room was very comfortable and relaxing after the stressful evening we had from the car problems. I especially enjoyed sitting on our balcony and reading as it was very quiet and soothing. The property is beautiful, and the breakfast served was tasty!
