The Dune Eco Village and Spa - Pondicherry

One of the most beautiful place I stayed in Pondicherry!...Me my wife had averty quality time...its a pet friendly resort..the rooms are very uniquely done for your comfort and gives you that aesthitic subtle vibes..I highly recommend to take artist villa 1 to get the most out of it!!

Eco village was extremely good, staff was very humble. Mr Umapathi made us feel like at home, he is always ready to help and entertained us while riding the buggy with old Tamil songs. My kids enjoyed balloon shooting and milking of the cow. Most of all I loved everything which constructed was with natural products the cot was made of the stone the flooring was natural stones. Even minute details was taken care of the Eco village was the tooth brush was wooden, soap was handmade, dust bin was wooden. Dunes resort will definitely take you closed to the nature. Beach was very neat and clean. They also provided us the cost beach side chairs. Food was decent. We stayed for 2 days. Day 1 we stayed in Garden room and Day 2 we stayed in Artist 1 room it was private swimming pool attached and the feel of the room from the entrance to end was out of the world. It's also pets friendly resort. Liked to Thank Mr Umapathi for his hospitality. Overall I surely recommend to visit this place and have an memorable holiday.

When you go back to visit a place again and again, it goes to prove the attraction the place and people there have. Dune, for our family, has been that getaway destination since 2011. Despite this being our sixth visit, the consistency of warmth in service, the philosophy of eco-friendliness and the unique homes continues to touch our hearts. The highlights of the physical space are the infinity pool, private beach access, the choices of homes with unique characters and aethetics and above all, the quiet, serene and calm energy that this space exudes. There are many green nooks and groves that are a treasure trove for those who love nature. The biodiversity of the space - flowers, plants, birds, butterflies, insects, reptiles all invite you to slow down and take the time to pause and say hello! As for the staff and hospitality, many faces are familiar and inviting for they have been there for a decade or two and give us a warm recognizing smile. Starting from the front desk, kitchen, housekeeping, maintenance....we have had so many positive experiences. Front office and guest relations led by Mr. Umapathy go out of their way to make every request possible and has great recomendations/connections. The can do attitude of the kitchen/restaurant and their attentiveness were exemplary. The food is freshly prepared and farm to table, much of it from their own space and ingredients of the highest quality. One of us had some very specific nutrition requirements and the staff went out of their way to support our requests - Rajesh, Raj, Chef Kalidas and all the staff behind the scenes, thank you! The Chief Engineer of the property and his team swooped in and added steps to the house as we had senior citizens with us and found the steps too steep. The guard near the beach is a familiar friendly face and keeps an eye out for the safely of the guests near the pool and those visiting the beach - offered us a chair to borrow to accomodate the senior citizens. Housekeeping came in on time and at request, to take care of all our needs! We dont know all their names but we appreciate the efforts of all the staff behind the scenes that made this experience wonderful. Will just say that there are many many more ways in which the staff make your experience special, without giving it all away... Dune is incomplete without a friendly wagging tail, from Bogo the dalmatian in 2011 to Charlie the indie in 2024....they follow you if you show them a little love and keep you company during the visit. Charlie, had a little incident while we were here and we wish him a speedy recovery. If we could give it 10 stars we would, suffice to say we recommend this property for your next vacation wholeheartedly!

I have stayed at dune many times …its always been a wonderful stay…this time it was even more beautiful because of Umapathy…he make sure to give us lot of insights about the stay and pondi…he calls himself as bathroom singer but actually …he sings like a professional singer and entertains …best part of him is that he treats everyone the same and no judging business…he adds little charm to the place.very positive and helpful person..overall I always loved dune and this time even more its coz of Umapathy..we dnt get people like him and he is surely a keeper. This is one of best resorts I have been to in recent times. Clean rooms, great beach, clean swimming pool, excellent, courteous and friendly staff. Best food, the chefs at the resort have taken great care in creating a menu, keeping in mind what is healthy. Perfectly spiced dishes. Life comes to a stand still at this resort and that’s what resorts are meant to do.

Loved my experience at Dune Eco Village. The entire place is so artfully set up, and each cottage has a distinct character. The cottages are in the midst of thick woods and farms, and a very short walk away from the beach. The perfect place for a quiet retreat. The service is prompt and friendly and the food - all organic - is very good. I highly recommend this place.

It’s one of the best resorts I have visited till date , as the name itself suggests it’s eco village situated in midst of nature and beach close by .. it takes you back to old days as the rooms are uniquely designed.. all staff are friendly and very co operative .. Mr Umapathy the manager here is very friendly and guides you accordingly

It was really a nice a plesent stay in dune eco ..i was staying in my pool villa which was very well maintained and pool is clear of dust and insects inspite of open pool ..and food is the must say in dune...one of the best food u can have in pondy...

Had a nice stay at Dune Ecovillage. The rooms were very thematic and antique Kerala style ( we stayed at Pool house 2). There were peacocks in the courtyard. The pool was also well maintained. The private beach was the USP of our stay. The food was strictly OK.
