Rosewood Little DIX Bay

It is a beautiful place to rest and disconnect from everything. Starting with the service, always attentive and dedicated to making you feel incredible. The food is delicious in any of its restaurants, all with incredible views. The rooms are beautiful, perfectly clean and with incredible views. Without a doubt you should take a massage in their wonderful SPA with the most incredible views you can imagine. Helen Their treatments are super complete and their therapists are excellent. Helen and her entire team are wonderful. I'm sorry I can't remember everyone's name, but it really is an experience that you shouldn't miss. It's really being in the paradise. Without a doubt this will be one of my unforgettable destinations and obviously Rosewood Little Dix Bay is the best hotel to connect with yourself.

From the first moment you arrive, everything feels easier. Where the charisma of the staff and their kindness makes you feel at home. The property is located perfectly on an island with the most magical natural landscapes , where greenery adorns everything and without leaving aside the crystal-clear waters.It is definitely a property that invites you to reconnect with your spirituality, in which you will come into contact with the element nature. The best of all is that we can say that we have memories in each of the corners of this paradise and this is thanks to the staff who stopped to help us and boy they know the property because they told us where the photos would look best. Lastly, the staff made the experience even better. Everyone was just pleasant and accommodating us. Everyone was personable and very easy to engage with. Altamash: you will always see him around the property with the best attitude and willingness to help. One of those people with whom you will love to meet because you can see that he enjoys what he does. On one occasion he told us to be careful when we were walking around the property because there was the possibility that some branches would fall due to the weather. And that we should walk with one hand on our heads to cushion the blow. Which made us laugh but when we saw his face we knew he was worried about our safety. Hossam:We met him at Sugar Mill restaurant and had the opportunity to talk on more than one occasion. And in addition to talk about the world of hospitality, he always invited us to stay more days to really disconnect and let ourselves be pampered by the staff. Sugar Mill was our favorite restaurant, not only because of the location and atmosphere. But also because they have several of our favorite dishes on their menu. If at any point you are thinking about going out to dinner, my recommendation would be that you choose Sugar Mill once again. You will not regret it! The only detail I had is that I ordered a carajillo and they brought me an American coffee, which was not what I expected. Angela: She always welcomes us with a big smile at breakfast and had something nice to say to us, but not just with us, she had a detail with everyone. Breakfast was one of my favorite things because I could enjoy delicious French toast. Just one day you broke my heart jaja, because there was no French toast, but Angela recommended the Avocado toast and she was not wrong with her advice. I don't remember the name of the waitress who used to serve us during breakfast and when she didn't she always came over to greet us. She always told us that we looked pretty and that we brightened the day with our outfits. And maybe the day was cloudy or with a little rain but with our outfits we told the weather that it was not going to ruin our day. We had a great time on the island. Suite 65 was the best location as it was close to the pool, beach and main breakfast area. It’s also close to the spa. We did a couple massage at the spa and it was 4/5 our butlers kept in touch with us via the app. Poolside the waiters kept us well taken care of when it came to drinks and food. Lucy is a ball of fire brining afternoon snacks and surprises. Ice cream on the beach at 230 was delightful as well as the 3:00 tea time. We’ll definitely come again

This resort was amazing. It is beautiful and the staff are outstanding. Neil and Mikel our butlers were fantastic. They helped with all reservations and made sure we had a great stay. The room was spacious with great amenities. Snorkeling on and off the resort was great. The complimentary beach drops add a unique factor. All the food was great including the complimentary ice cream on the beach and afternoon tea. I would 100% recommend this resort and return.

In my quest to see all the islands in the Caribbean we booked a summer trip to the VBI and chose the marvelous Rosewood at Little Dix Bay. This is truly barefoot luxury living. The original eco resort celebrates its 60th anniversary this year and wow, how thankful I am to have stayed there. The original buildings are Frank Lloyd Wright inspired which was great site for this historic architecture geek. The bay was very warm, totally swimmable, even perfect for snorkeling. The food, the staff and surrounding environment made you feel as if you were on a private island. I dearly miss having afternoon tea now that I’m back home. Would love to return one day. Thank you Rosewood for such a wonderful visit.

Very disappointing first few days. We were lured to giving it a try because of the history and story, even though the cost per night was more than double the cost of Four Seasons and other comparable offerings. It's fair to stay that what we've experienced in our first three days has been disappointing to say the least. It's all about value. Not horrible, but overstated and certainly not worth the premium.

Let's start with the good, the island was beautiful and the location was secluded and lovely, but that's about it. We went to LDB as part of a last min splurge to take a break before a medical procedure. We were planning to book the Ocean View Cottage for 4 nights but right at the last minute when booking online, it became unavailable on the 3rd night. We called reservations and Monique told us that she'd book the Ocean View Cottage for the 1st, 2nd and 4th night but she'd place us in the Ocean View Junior Suite for the 3rd night (at double the price). We were concerned about moving so much, but she said not to worry, because when we arrive, if there is a cancellation, she'd move us back to Ocean View Cottage for all 4 nights and refund us the difference for the 3rd night. OR if it's not available then we would get upgraded to the Ocean View Junior Suite for all 4 nights at no extra cost. She said there were still 5 Ocean View Junior Suite rooms available the week before our stay so it shouldn't be a problem to upgrade us. We agreed to this arrangement. When we finally arrived on the island, we were met with our butler who immediately told us he had 2 rooms to show us. He first took us to the Ocean View Cottage #10, which was lovely and we said we were fine with it. We asked if we needed to move on the 3rd night and he said we may have to but that he wanted to show us the Junior Suite. We went and saw the Suite and we actually much preferred the Cottage. The Suite was much bigger but it was very dark and most of all it didn't have a hand-held shower head in both the bathtub and the shower. We have a 5-year old with us so that would be an inconvenience. We asked again if we needed to move if we chose the Cottage but he couldn't give us an answer. Instead he tried to upsell us to stay in the Suite for an extra $1500++. This was not the arrangement! We went back and forth and he said he will discuss with the manager. He literally showed me his phone where his manager texted him 'try to upsell them to pay for the Suite'! We tried to explain to him like why would be pay extra for a room that we don't even like. We wasted so much time discussing this and finally decided to spend our first 2 nights at the Cottage while he figured out if we can stay there for the 3rd and 4th night. The next day, we went off the resort and visited the Savannah Bay, the Baths and Spring Bay, these were the highlights of the trip. Upon returning, we followed up with the butler and they still had no answer if we needed to move the next day. After dinner, we went to Reception to see Monique, we know she worked night shifts. We waited an hour and she said she finally figured out a way for us to stay at the Cottage for the 3rd night and there was a cancelation but that she needed the manager's approval for the refund and that the butler would let us know by 10am the next day. The next day, we waited at breakfast and we asked the butler if they have heard anything. Nobody

My wife and I have been to Little Dix Bay 5 times over the years. We have always enjoyed the Sugar Mill restaurant but this time was quite disappointing. The grilled lobster was mushy and the service agonizingly slow. Our salad was delivered the same time as the lobster and after dinner coffee and dessert were about 10 minutes apart, not together. Then there was the 15 minutes waiting just to get our check. The food is usually good, but something is not working here to deserve a good review.

Absolutely spectacular resort on all levels. First let me complement some of the outstanding staff. No one asked me to do this. Captain Avery is outstanding. He will take you on the most amazing snorkel adventure and beach drops-all complimentary. Angela, Cynthia and Lucy are the best and will always greet you with a smile, some great advice about the island and take a true interest in you and your family. I wish people back home were half as kind and friendly as they are! Some information that will be helpful for you to know Getting there-Best bet is to fly into Tortola and arrange with Little Dix to pick you up at the airport and take on a private catamaran to the dock. We took the public ferry from St. Thomas and they picked us up at the ferry but it would have been better had we flown into Tortola. The catamaran was absolutely wonderful! Next best alternative is to fly to St. Thomas and book a private water taxi directly to the resort. The resort is better than any picture or video you have seen. The resort was sold out the entire time we were here but it felt like it was at 20% occupancy. So peaceful and relaxing. No saving chairs or waiting in line or being concerned about reservations. We stayed in a Tree House which was amazing. I do wish it had some shade on the deck but other than that it was perfect. Extremely private, incredibly spacious and immaculate and modern accommodation. The outdoor shower is perfect. And the room is huge. More storage than you could ever need. We were less than 20 steps from our beach chairs and another 10 to the water. The complimentary snorkel trips and beach drops are not to be missed. Captain Avery! There is not much to do on the island (which is great!) but if you do explore you can rent a car directly from the hotel when you arrive for about $100 a day. You won’t need it for more than a day or two if you want to do this. Hit the Baths early and when a cruise is not in town. Don’t miss Savannah Bay. Grab lunch at Hog Heaven. As you can imagine many of the people here are on their honeymoon, just got engaged or are celebrating an anniversary. With that said there are a good amount of kids and families here as well. But plenty of space and privacy for everyone to do their own thing. Didn’t come across many NY attitudes or snobbery. It was all good. If I would give the resort one negative it would be the butlers and the expectation you should have about them. They do what they can but they must be spread very thin. It’s really not personal service and quick responses like you might expect. You can text them with a request and they will respond but don’t expect them to be at your call and to know a lot about the island or the goings on. It wasn’t much of a problem, just know to adjust your expectations. For example, Angela and Cynthia were the ones who told us most of the information about the island and the resort and they aren’t butlers. The food here was excellent.
