Dirty, grotty motel rooms. A lone kettle and microwave in the corridor with no cups or tea bags. Noisy overnight...presumably lots of people arriving and leaving for airport in the small hours. Fulfilled the function of being close to airport at 15 minute drive but not a nice hotel so surprised by the good reviews! Maybe if you stay longer they give you a nicer bit of the building!

Nahe am Flughafen Keflavik liegt dieses kleine Gästehaus mit Parkplätzen vor der Tür, aber Bad, WC und Dusche am Gang. Ich hatte ein sehr kleines Zimmer im Oma-Stil, das mit dem Allernötigsten ausgestattet war. Es gab aber nicht mal einen Schrank. Hier wohnen viele junge Leute, was bedeutet, dass abends noch ordentlich Lärm gemacht wurde. Nicht so prickelnd für Gäste, die tags drauf um 4 Uhr aufstehen müssen, um den Flieger um 7:35 Uhr zu erreichen. Gut: In der Nähe ist eine Tankstelle. Nicht so gut: Das Restaurant gegenüber des Gästehauses war geschlossen, so dass man 8 km zur nächsten Fisch & Chips Bude fahren muss.

You’d be nuts to stay anywhere but here if on the peninsula around Keflavik. I love this place. Very nice rooms and great bathrooms. Not the most picturesque part of the peninsula but stupendous value and access to explore relatively dark areas on the road to Grundavik and Keflavik. I really enjoyed it and the staff were so friendly and helpful.

My daughter was stuck in Iceland because of bad weather. We booked her into Hotel Vogar. We are very thankful that we did this . Mr. Vogar was very kind and helpful. Picked her up from the airport and dropped her off after a three day stay of road and airport closure and delays, we are very thankful for his help and kindness. We will come back and stay with you soon.

Hotel Vogar is a decent place just like any other hotel in Iceland.They upgraded our 2 rooms to 2 bedroom apartment.The location is close to the airport and is in a neighbourhood so every things is close by.Rooms are clean and spacious exactly how you see in the pictures.Smooth check in and check out.

Motel situé non loin de l'aéroport de Keflavik. Chambres simples mais assez grandes et correctement équipées.Nous avions une chambre avec 2 lits simples et salle de bains privative. Personnel à la réception agréable . Les repas sont par contre très chers pour la piètre qualité comparé à d'autres hôtels, restaurant type cantine. Convient pour une nuit.

Easy run to Vogar via the road around Hvalfjordur in pleasant weather. Eight and final day of our Ring Road Road Trip. Checked in early at 1.00 and given Room 1. Functional room with good bathroom and usual plugless basin. Ex cellent blackout curtains. Appreciated parking right in front of unit.Explored the area but weather began to deteriorate. Found there were no restaurants in Vogar. Owner suggested a place in Grindavik but due to weather we ended up in Njardvik. Convenient location for blue lagoon and the airport for early flights with fuel pumps just 100 meters down the road. Our thanks to the Owner who organised breakfast at 6.00 for us to cater for the early flight next day.

Cet hôtel est idéalement situé entre la capitale et l aéroport pratique pour quelques excursions dans la péninsule (blue lagoon). Même en arrivée tardive, l'accueil est personnalisé. Les facilités alentours pour se restaurer sont fermées, le motel peut servir un pat de poisson pour le dîner. Ne comptez pas vous faire manger en dépis de la kitchenette : les ustensiles et accessoires ne sont pas dans les placards. Ménage non systématique dans les chambres. Le petit déjeuner est simple. Il est pratique de se garer proximité des chambres. Nous avions une chambre familiale, plutôt spacieuse.
