Money worthy and cozy apartment with all basic you need, plus free parking in 5 minutes walk. Certainly alright for budget traveller like us 😀😃.

The host, Francesco, was very responsive; the accommodation itself was clean although very dated; it was in a good location just inside the city walls. However, the description states that parking is available- I was sent a link to 4 separate public parking lots- 3 paid and 1 free- there was zero availability. I stated this to Francesco who adamantly told me to refer to the description stating parking is available but not a private lot- and as I previously stated, there was no parking available many times, in any of the lots. Just want others to be aware as I didn’t see this in any reviews and when I see that parking is available- whether public or private- I assume there will be a spot somewhere without having to drive around for over an hour and then walk a very good distance.

Lovely property inside the city walls but away from the high traffic tourist areas. Well equipped with everything you need. Easy check in. We had a lovely visit in Volterra.

Una pessima camera, piccola, fatiscente e sporca, con una finestra che dava in un gavone, angusta e senza luce, lenzuola vecchie e niente per appoggiare i bagagli. Dalle foto sembrava più grande, più bella, luminosa, ma si sa quanto poco ci vuole a modificare una foto per mascherare la realtà...cosi ha fatto il proprietario di questo posto, pubblicando delle foto della stanza in prospettiva, per farla sembrare piu grande. Inoltre, quando abbiamo chiesto di spostarci in un'altra stanza, pagando la differenza, ci è stato detto che era troppo tardi (erano le 18) . Quindi, pessima anche la gestione.

Stanza stretta senza nessun tipo di appoggio, attaccapanni striminzito, doccia dentro la micro camera, tanta umidità. Peggio di così non poteva capitare. Le foto sono fuorvianti, la disponibilità dell'oste inesistente, forse troppo il caldo! Assolutamente da evitare.

prices from 3/4 star hotels and rooms in a dilapidated house for students with pocket money. We escaped despite paying for the night. The ban on car entry is inconvenient (luggage must be carried by hand for a good distance, if you are lucky to find a place in the paid car park)
