1. Even if they fixed the issues listed below (in no particular order) I would not come back here because of the incredibly noisy open air disco next door - not the hotel’s fault but still a factor. 2. The rooms are very basic - calling this a three star is pushing it. 3. The shower is tiny - enough room to stand up in, but that’s it. If you drop something, it stays dropped. 4. No shelf or trays in the shower - so nowhere to put soap, shampoo bottles. 5. Shower doesn’t drain properly and the drain cover floats away. 6. Hairdryer is one of those ancient yellowing wall hung dryers you see in public swimming pools - and on mine, the hose came away from the top bit of the dryer. 7. Old plug sockets. A number of my friends struggled to use more modern converters. 8. Room is gloomy - my ground floor room has no separate door or window other than the ones that look onto the path directly outside. They have wooden slatted external blinds which mean that the room is dark and gloomy. 9. The door to the room is a double door - the outer door is so stiff I can only open it to get out of the room (never mind into the room) with the key - I hope nobody ever has to get out in a hurry in a fire. 10. WiFi (which is free) is intermittent and weak in the room. 11. Breakfast is disappointing, in a country known for its food. 12. The building looks nice on the outside but the whole place is in need of a serious and significant refresh. The plus points: 1. The staff are friendly 2. The coffee in the morning is good (once the proper coffee machine is open after 8am - before that you have to make do with coffee from an automated machine). 3. It is a few minutes walk away from town. 4. The rooms have good air-conditioning - in fact the air con looks more modern than the rest of the hotel.
