Stayed here 2 nights. On closer inspection room was a bit dusty and looked like it hadnt been dusted in a while.floor didnt look clean either..could of been stains engrained in the tiles but disnt look clean at all. The pool photos do not match the pictures, water was cloudy and green and the sides of the pool were very dirty, put me off going in.dont get me wrong it was a nice enough chalet with a microwave and kitchenette but for 340 a night a bit over priced in my opinion. On arrival owner didnt say much..just that I should turn air con on when I get into room. There was no brush or Hoover to sweep the floor so couldnt tidy that up.

Even though there was warning about this on the room paperwork, there was no fly spray nor repellent or adequate preventative measures. Also, there was no air-freshener for bathroom use. There was also no one on duty in the reception area over the weekend so if you were locked out, your were locked out. We recently stayed at Cable Bay Views (studio 3). Itβs a great set up, comfortable, well appointed, modern and comfortable. Great views, close (ie 5 ish mins walk) to Cable Bay, Mudbrick and Allpress, communicative owners, and reasonable value. Few points: - shame the fan in the bathroom automatically goes on synched to the bathroom lights (a pain at night!) and the bathroom bin was broken, the bathroom underfloor heating is great, the modern tv that comes out of the wall is great also!, kitchen is perfectly fine given I suspect barely anyone who stays there, eats there. Very popular given its location I imagine and we certainly would recommend it. Just a couple of small things to fix or potentially improve.

This room overall needs better cleaning. The carpets and blankets were mottled, with hair and fingernails scattered on them. It was clear that they had not been cleaned for a long time. As a resident, to ensure hygiene and health, I spread them flat on the ground for use. In addition, if there is a lot of dust on the wall, the carpet should also be deeply cleaned to eliminate odors. However, it's nice to be able to watch TV while taking a shower.
The quality of the conference equipment and meals was satisfactory. It's a pity that the hygienic condition of the room is disappointing. Especially at night, the room next door is noisy due to conference work, which affects the rest of the room. Overall, the hotel's environment and service quality are recognized, but room hygiene management needs to be strengthened, including cleaning and sound insulation to improve the accommodation experience. We hope that we can continue to optimize and provide customers with more comfortable and convenient services in the future.

The hotel is 17 kilometers away from the airport. If you are not detoured, you will take a taxi for more than 30 New Zealand dollars. The taxi at the airport entrance is more pitted. It is best to take a local online car. The hotel is located in a business district, very quiet, you can see people at work in the morning, and there are 2 nearby evening restaurants open in the afternoon. The restaurant dishes are good. By the way, I will invite customers to dinner here. The hotel room is fully equipped, I really like to have a dry towel rack, and there is no pressure to wash clothes. The hotel does not have breakfast. There are three breakfast shops in the right turn for a few minutes. The one contributed in the picture is very good. Friendly reminder, the hotel closes at 8 pm, you need to swipe your room card to enter, if the arrival time is late, you must call the hotel in advance to check in the staff; the specified check-out time is 10 o'clock, and you can discuss it until 11 o'clock. In addition, there are colleagues who originally planned to travel together, because they did not know that the Canadian passport to New Zealand also had to apply for a visa, they could not make a trip; fortunately, they bought the room rate insurance when booking, and hoped that the claim would be settled smoothly after the report.
Check in and unwind at Novotel Auckland Ellerslie, your racecourse hotel only 15 minutes' drive from Auckland CBD. Your bright, contemporary room gives you all the space you need to work or relax. Enjoy access to our fully-equipped fitness centre, stylish bar with big screens, and modern restaurant with indoor and al fresco dining in a tranquil garden.

Reminded by their ! I stayed here in February 2020 ( a while back but stick with me). I was there with a work thing so a busy day. I got back to the hotel at about 7pm, had a bath and when I went to let the water out of the bath the water didn't drain. Next thing the plughole in the middle of the bathroom started flooding the room with 'dirty' water. It smelt awful if you know what I mean. I put all the towels on the ground to stop it from getting into my room. I rang reception to say what was happening and that I could not stay in the room. I have to say the night manager was very helpful throughout but, it was 9pm at this point, and having to pack up after working all day and flying up from Christchurch that morning, made for a pretty uncomfortable stay. Even the new room was missing lots of items (tissues, shower gel, tea bags, etc). Please note, I am only posting this now because the cold call from a pretty insistent and overzealous Accor sales representative, reminded me to check when I stayed here. At the time I even said in the feedback email to Novotel ElIerslie that I wouldn't post to Tripadvisor. But then in checking this out, I see that they never even responded to me about what happened or what they were doing so others didn't experience what I did. Overall a disappointing experience.

From check in to check out everyone I dealt with was so polite and helpful! The Duty Manager Lucas was so accommodating when I requested to extend my stay due to family circumstances. The buffet breakfast was a delicious spread of all things breakfast! Room service was fast and the food arrived hot! The location is perfect to all Auckland City amenities. And the Rose Gardens across the road are a perfect morning stroll.

JJulz GWow. This place is a next level of comfort and location. Fantastic views from the balcony of our apartment. Lots of space for 4 adults, beautiful room with everything we needed. Had a mix of in house breakfast and some home eats with some of the wonderful produce we found around the island. First class service. And maybe the best pool in the world. Such a stunning spot.

GGuest UserWe chose the place for the stunning location and beach access just across the road. Also the bed was a king which was a plus as so many places offered the queen size only. Clean and tidy and friendly service. Bus stop access right outside the apar**ent. Would definitely recommend this place.
GGuest UserDisclaimer: Waiheke Island Resort management will likely refute this review point-by-point, but rest assured theyβll never be on site or do anything to correct the issues that led to the criticism. Waiheke Island is beautiful so enjoy the view, because thatβs all youβre likely to enjoy at this place. Waiheke Island Resort has it all: resort in name only, closed ammenities, and unserviced rooms. (Please note: they DID make the beds in one of our rooms, once. But nothing else.) Have a fetish for smoke damaged rooms? Theyβve got you covered. Want to book two rooms on the same reservation but ensure youβre on apposite ends of the property? WIR is the place to be. Dead palms? Check Rubbish under the deck? Check Staff without a single care or answer? Check and check Courtesy vans? Theyβve got two but donβt expect to ride in one. Electric bikes? The signs say βyesβ the people say βnoβ. Food? Not if youβre visiting on a day that ends in βyβ. Weddings? Let me get a divorce lawyer ready for you on speed dial. This place has so much potential, but for now thatβs all it has. Letβs hope they put some money into the unheated pool with cracks so large youβd be right to ask if the property was somehow, no matter how scientifically impossible, damaged in the Kaikoura or Christchurch quakes. Or they could address the many many many steps throughout the place that need attention. The most radical thought? For less than $100 they could ensure rooms have cups and plates. (Especially when the βresortβ restaurant isnβt open and the nearest shop is a 1.3km walk from the βresortβ.) Youβd hope the people working here (note: donβt expect anyone on site outside of 10am - 4pm on those pesky days ending in βyβ) would care enough to try a bit harder or at least proactively suggest local restaurants or things to do given NOTHING IS OPEN OR AVAILABLE DURING PEAK SEASON AT THIS RESORT but, again, no. No a million times over. Most importantlyβ and this is the most serious criticismβ this property is not for ANYONE with any kind of mobility challenges: you will be required to walk up and down significant inclines and there IS NO ASSISTANCE provided for you or your luggage. Not an issue for us but I would have been incandescent if parents or a mobility-challenged individual were with us. So, re-sort your holiday plans if this is the βresortβ on your list for all the reasons above and more.
