When I paid, I showed that I wanted a credit card guarantee, and I agreed. Room 5 is in the middle, the privacy is relatively poor, and it is the smallest. There are two small single beds in the room, plus a bathroom. The disadvantage is that the sound insulation is not good. We live on the first floor, but we can hear clearly when walking on the second floor. It is noisy, so just wear earplugs. We thought it would be cold, but in fact the heating worked very well and it became very warm after being turned on for a while. It's very close to the Glowworm Cave, more than 20 minutes' walk and a quick drive. Waitomo has its own parking lot, which is very convenient.

We had a wonderful stay at the hostel. The staff were very friendly and gave us a thorough introduction to the hostel, including its lovely animal residents, like baby lambs, deer, pig, and horse. A highlight of my stay was the chance to feed the baby lamb, which was a truly memorable experience! The facilities are basic, but everything is in good working order and covers the essentials. The bedding was clean, and they provided a clear wall guide on how to set it up, which was helpful and a nice touch. Overall, it was a cozy, enjoyable stay, and we would definitely recommend it to others!

The place looks a bit rundown but overall the stay is comfortable and quiet.

Very remote, but it is worth trying. Living here will have a rare experience. Let’s get a bit more dramatic. You can see fluorescent insects 🐛 (👀) without spending money.
