2-Star Hotels in Wakayama

Like an up-market Youth Hostel A lovely vibe with very friendly hosts. We only stayed one night (on the way to the Kumano Kodo) but could have easily stayed longer. Our family of 5 stayed in a room with 4 sets of bunks. It was quite large in comparison with other places we stayed in Japan. We stayed with family in one room and other friends in 3 different rooms. Loved that they had local craft beer for sale and the restaurant up the road (Blue Fish) was also great. also nice eateries nearby (that open around 10-11am) and an Onsen and laundromat nearby. We could have used the bike hire if better organised.

As the title suggests. If you value cheap, it's OK. Although the facility was not new, it was well cleaned and clean. The food was delicious, and the people who served and the receptionist were very friendly and nice, so it was comfortable.

It is a good spot for a solo traveler. Capsules are clean. Towels are provided. There is a small tea and coffee area at the entrance.
