Nice cosy hotel - clean and functional room. TV has Netflix. Carpark is at the mall where the hotel is located in. Location is further from the castle but isn’t a major issue. Convenient next to train station.

Simple hotel but super convenient, close to JR train station and there are many eateries nearby. The hotel even includes a complimentary buffet breakfast, nothing fancy but just a nice touch to start your day. Room is proper and clean. Note that the train station nearby is JR Wakayama station and not Wakayama-shi (Wakayama city) station on the private train line. I made a mistake myself and had to get here by another train ride. This is a very pleasant town. If you have time, take the JR line to Kishi station (貴志駅) to see its famous cat manager Tama.

I chose it because there is a large hot spring bath. It is close to Wakayama Station and there is a station behind the hotel, so it is convenient because you can enter and exit even in the early morning. When I was looking for a hotel in Wakayama City, I found ”Daiwa Roynet”. I used it often on Okinawa Kokusai-dori, so I feel like I chose it by name first.
