Wir waren Anfang Dezember zu Gast im Strandhotel Gerken. Das Hotel liegt wunderschön direkt an der Promenade. Das Zimmer, was wir hatten hatte ein paar kleine Schwächen, es schmälern aber kaum den wirklichen guten Gesamteindruck. So sind im Badbereich kaum Ablagen für die Waschutensilien. Das Zimmer selbst war aber sauber und geräumig. Das Personal (fast alles Auszubildene) war wirklich sehr bemüht und begeisterte regelrecht mit seinem schon sehr professionellen Auftreten. Das Abend, wie auch das Frühstücksbuffet lassen wirklichen keine Wünsche offen. So das das Strandhotel Gerken eine wirklich sehr gute Wahl für einen Langeoog Urlaub ist!

Die Lage des Hotels direkt am Strand ist super und man hat einen tollen Blick auf's Meer beim Frühstück. Leider war das Zimmer extrem heiß, trotz moderater Außentemperatur um die 22°C, was ein erholsames Schlafen verhindert hat. Das Zimmer selbst war stilvoll eingerichtet, leider ist der verlegte Fußboden eine Katastrophe. Bei jedem Fußtritt hat er extrem laut geknarzt und die Tür zwischen Flur und Schlafbereich ließ sich nicht schließen (vermutlich da der Fußboden nachträglich verlegt wurde).
Zu loben ist das reichhaltige Frühstück inkl. Pancake-Maschine und das freundliche Personal.
Das Hotel liegt günstig direkt am Pudding, wo sich diverse Essensmöglichkeiten und Geschäfte befinden.

Herrlicher Nordseeblick
Schönes Hotel in erster Reihe am Strand, unbedingt Nordseeblick buchen! Anfragen werden leider erst nach Wiederholung bzw. gar nicht beantwortet. Sauberkeit im Bad ist verbesserungswürdig. Schöner Spa-Bereich mit Schwimmbad. Das Servicepersonal lässt bisweilen Freundlichkeit und Zuvorkommenheit dem Gast gegenüber vermissen.

Kamers in orde, gemelde defect aan badkamerverlichting wordt niet hersteld. Centrale ruimten zoals lift ziet er gedateerd en versleten uit. Verfwerk buitenzijde pand slecht.

Fantastisches Frühstücksbuffet mit Blick aufs Meer, alle Zimmer wurden im letzten Jahr renoviert, lediglich die Badezimmer sind etwas in die Jahre gekommen aber sauber.

Mir hat so ziemlich alles gefallen. Allerdings wurde nicht, wie angekündigt, nach dem 5. Aufenthaltstag gereinigt. War kein Drama, aber wenn man so etwas schreibt, müsste man es auch einhalten.
