Holiday Inn Express & Suites Warrensburg North

We only stayed one night, so I can't comment on the mid-stay housekeeping, but our room was spotless when we arrived. We did have an issue with the deadbolt not working. The front desk agent was apologetic, but was unable to move us to another room because they were sold out (not her fault). The A/C had to be turned down to arctic temperatures to keep up with the humidity, so perhaps a dehumidifier in each room is called for.

Stay away from this hotel. We had ants in our room day 1. Yep, we contacted them, they treated the ants. Day 2 no coffee refill or cups refilled in our room. Did we complain? No. We aren't complainers. Day 3. Our bed wasn't even made, trash can not emptied. Did we complain? No. We aren't complainers.(But hey, they did leave us DECAF coffee today) 🤷‍♀️. Also Day 3 my husband had returned to the room to find water on the floor of the bathroom. Upon investigation they found a cracked tank. We had had issues with the flushing of the toilet...just weird stuff, but it flushed, so we hadn't complained. We are not complainers. That evening when we had returned there was a new toilet installed. It had just been installed, and there were multiple HIE standing there and no one mentioned they thought we broke it or that we would be charged for it. When we received our bill this morning, WE were charged for the toilet and installation!!!! We did nothing to crack this toilet and we were held responsible "because it happened during your stay." We have talked to the local manager, and tried to talk to corporate. The local manager is adamant that no refund will be given because WE broke the toilet. And, if corporate won't stand behind us as members of IHG for over 20 years, maybe our days with IHG are done. How can we be a loyal follower for 20 years with NO problems, and all of a sudden we are the scum of the earth that did who knows what to break a toilet. We asked the manager about making an agreeable negotiation and she flatly refused.

The desk staff at this hotel were the friendliest and most knowledgeable I have ever seen. Room was large and spotless. Breakfast was way better than I would expect from a hotel. We were impressed. It's a bit confusing to find, but it's worth the effort.

I’ve traveled quite a bit and I have not ever been to a Hotel where you ask for housekeeping and they tell you you’ve only been here two days. Then when you ask for it again, they hand, you towels, but they don’t clean the room or take out the trash or do any form of cleaning on the room. I happen to change my sheets quite frequently because of my asthma and my allergies and when I go to a hotel and just ask for basic housekeeping and I’m told no, I will definitely look somewhere else in the future. My room is out of tissues running low on toilet paper no clean towels, no coffee pods

New property, sparkling clean, room was comfortable, USB ports throughout. Easy access from US 50. Staff was friendly, breakfast pretty good (the HIE cinnamon rolls are always a must for us). Would definitely stay again.

Cleanliness and polite staff

I’m not often able to leave a 5-star review for a hotel. But I can this time. The first thing that caught my attention is how clean the property was both inside & out. You could eat off the lobby floor. Check-in staff were both competent and friendly (Rare). Room was beyond clean, comfortable and everything worked. They say people are creatures of habit and “Go where they know”. This hotel will now be my go-to place to stay while in Warrensburg. Congratulations to the whole team who keep this place going. You’re doing a fantastic job. Hospitality took a huge hit in the last few years and I was convinced it would never come back to a five star level until now. Well done.

l was super clean had great front desk staff. The hot breakfast included sausage and ham omelets , biscuits and gravy ,pancakes . Nice workout area ,good tv selections. Is a little bit hard to find but not out of way at all.

Our son played baseball at UCM for 3 years, and our hotel of choice was always the Holiday Inn Express. The manager on duty, Melody, runs a tight ship and bends over backwards to take care of the guests. The rest of the staff follow suit because of the additude displayed daily by Melody. We were back this spring for the baseball banquet, and once again were treated like royalty. My son will be moving back there in August of 2022 to help with the baseball program, and rest assured, every time we go back to watch the games. we will be staying at the Holiday Inn Express on Hawthorne Blvd.
