Our carriage pulled in just after noon and, as requested, my raven had reached the squire ahead of our arrival, at which point bags were brought forth and the squire dutifully overburdened with a wide array of fine silks and satins from around the globe. To stay our hunger we dined on tea and cakes that were first-rate and reminiscent of the quality fayre proffered up from my own castle pantries. On the lawns we were met with flamboyant peacocks, so resplendent in their plumage as to make even the most stoic of wizards weep for such finery. It was then met a gentleman well learned in lore (Lord Ben, I believe) who was kind enough to escort us throughout the castle, even going so far as to let us handle some of thee artefacts and rarities. It was most informative and of genuine interest. And, after a busy morning, it was time to rest, and so we retired to the Suite in the tower, to the welcome sight of chilled champagne, fine linens, and exquisite furniture. The squire had even been so good as to deliver our travel-goods, much to my relief. A nearby market had vendors selling culinary wares of which I dined greedily, before finishing the evening with a turn around the peaceful, golden-lit grounds, a goblet of mead, and a well-earned shower. In the morning we awoke to a full breakfast laid out beneath a silver cloche in a library of such books it would take a lifetime to read. It was then I saddled my horse and journeyed to visit the Knights of Middle England, and be instructed in their ways… All in all and very, very pleasant quest. 10/10, would quest again.
