Azura Bermuda

Beautiful property: our room was gorgeous with a private balcony and ocean views; friendly and helpful staff; multiple pools and many different areas where you can relax and swim with views of the amazing ocean; architecture of the property/building is very different and aesthetically beautiful

After careful consideration,my beautiful wife and I selected the Azura Hotel to celebrate our 40th Wedding Anniversary and also my beautiful wife’s special birthday. We had the most amazing and memorable vacation/celebration experience that we could ever ask for. Our gorgeous guest room had floor to ceiling sliding patio doors with the most incredible ocean views (had the moonlight glistening on the ocean coming into our bedroom) along with a luxury deep soaking tub. The ocean front infinity pool opened the day we arrived and that was simply amazing. The entire staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful and a very special thank you to Ms. Nagma Walker (General Manager)

My husband and I traveled to Bermuda and stayed at Azura. We loved that Azura has a beach. It is perfect for early morning walks and for dips in the clear blue waters at anytime of the day. Our suite was amazing and had a beautiful oceanfront view of the blue waters. It was so peaceful to sit on the deck and listen to the waves. The suite, itself, was modern, clean, and spacious. We loved every minute and hope to return to Azura one day. We highly recommend Azura!

Loved the room view. Huge windows letting the Bermuda Breeze go through. Showers were glass and large, Power Privacy Shades were helpful. The staff handled taxi arrangements flawlessly. They need to sell water, drinks snacks, etc, at the office. Javier the really went out of his way for everyone. The beach is beyond beautiful; but the trek down and up is demanding. The beach pool bar needs work on ambience, but the view is worth it. Room views are worth the trip!

This is an amazing hotel that provides you a luxury experience yet the feel of a boutique hotel. Food was delicious and the pools and grounds amazing. All the new additions will be fantastic and that private beach and pool are the cherry on top!

Overall, my wife and I had a very mixed experience at Azura. However, the negatives were enough to outweigh the positives and we cannot recommend staying here. Pros: - The property is beautiful. There are amazing views of the ocean from everywhere at Azura. - They have a private beach, which is quiet and very pretty. The reason we booked Azura was for this since many Bermuda hotels are not directly on the beach. We are really happy we had this because we could spend so much time sitting by the ocean. - The rooms are new and modern. The beds were extremely comfortable and we slept great. - Staff are all super friendly. Everyone from the front desk workers, to restaurant servers and room porters were so kind and wonderful to talk to. The staff were really one of the best parts of Azura. Cons: - The hotel is unfinished. There is construction going on all over the resort to the point where I don’t think it should be open to guests yet. You can see in my pictures there is construction equipment left in the hallways and you can hear construction during the day. The salt water pool and beach bar were supposed to completed before our arrival but they were not and instead were an eyesore on the beach. - Our room had no privacy. There was a walkway right in front of our room where construction workers and guests would walk past all day. This was a huge problem when the entire room is glass. Even the bathroom is all glass, which means you need to close all of the shades to shower or use the bathroom. It was very unpleasant to sit outside our room in robes while construction workers walked by and waved hello. No hotel room should have a public walkway that close to it. - You need to drive everywhere. There is not much nearby Azura and the roads are not walkable so you need to take a taxi or bus everywhere. The hotel only has one restaurant currently so you will also need to do this to have meals elsewhere. - We found stains on our sheets when we arrived. This made us question whether they were clean or not. - You can hear a lot of outside noise from the hallways. It was enough to wake me up several times during the night over our 4 night stay. Given Azura is charging luxury hotel prices, I don’t think the experience we had was acceptable. I think once this hotel is finished and opened for more time, it could be a nice place to stay. However, I would not recommend booking a stay here in 2024 when there are still so many issues.

We had a fabulous short weekend getaway at the Azura. We had been to Bermuda before, but this location was the star. The ocean views from our room cannot be beat. The pool restaurant has similar amazing views, and the beach is almost a private beach with easy access. We were far from the high season crowds, and yet quite close to Hamilton. The room and bathroom was very spacious and comfortable, and the staff is welcoming and friendly. We can't wait to go back!
