The best services from the Security,receptionists,housekeeping,pool attendants,chefs,service staffs,managers on the ground,all the restaurants ,kids play area,spa,best tea and coffee from the baristas,i can keep on going not forgetting the beach view rooms. We had the best experience ever.

Perfect destination that caters to all forms of travel. Chef Dennis is such a great delight, always flexible to accommodate the demands and special requests that gets to his desk. Pulling off exquisite delicacies is his forte! He pulled off an excellent, unforgettable birthday surprise for my sister! Husna makes your day from the very entry point! Her infectious smile, willingness to pull off excursions and beautiful plans for a couple, small and large groups to ensure comfort is always a great delight! Great Team here all around. Always a great pleasure returning.

I just spent five nights at Hemingways Watamu, and honestly, it was amazing! 👌 The location is perfect – right on the beach with the bluest water and soft white sand. Waking up to those ocean views every day was something else 🌊🏖️. The rooms were super comfortable and had this laid-back, coastal vibe that made it easy to relax. The staff really made the experience unforgettable – so friendly and always ready to help with a smile. And the food? Wow, every meal was spot on! 🍽️ Whether I was lounging by the pool or snorkeling in the marine park, every moment felt special. If you’re thinking about a coastal getaway, Hemingways Watamu should definitely be at the top of your list! 🏝️

This is an amazing hotel with all the amenities you may need and multiple options to pick from. Meaning there are 2 swimming pools and several restaurants. The rooms are quite spacious with amazing views. I got a room facing the beach with amazing sunrises. It was a great place in which my group bonded alot over drinks. Although I did not get to enjoy a massage, they have a spa and a gym. White sandy beach right in front! The customer service was impeccable truly. I felt so at peace here. I would say that this is an untaped side of Kenya's beachside. I enjoyed the solidarity. The great part about where this is located is that you can walk to communities, stores, etc. The buffet was filled with many delicious options and my group also enjoyed the dinner shetup where we all order items and share amongst each other. It made for great conversations! If you are into water activities, the service providers pick you up straight from the hotel's beach front. We stayed for 2 nights but I did not want to leave.

Top class hotel, we loved it. Rooms were very comfortable. Food was excellent, all freshly prepared and a la carte two nights. Staff were amazing throughout the hotel, everyone so friendly and welcoming. Special mention for Redempter who was the perfect restaurant hostess and Alan on front desk who helped us out of a muddle with pick up times very efficiently and speedily. They stood out but everyone in restaurant, pool, bar, room cleaning and poolside were all fantastic. Pool also great, the perfect temperature and not very busy. Amazing views of the Ocean from the rooms, pool and restaurant. Very high on our list of favourite ever hotels.

A perfect location and great team for Watamu Holiday. The property is beautiful and the staff very helpful. While the rooms were comfortable, they could use a little TLC, as some mold, shower doors not fitting and just tired. If the rooms were a little more refreshed, then I would give resort a 5. The staff was so kind and helpful, the bar team the best, and the food in the restaurants excellant. Plenty of activities to do in the area, or you can just have Helen in the Spa give you the best massage in Kenya. The ocean view and proximity to other properties makes this a gem.

We were there for 4 nights from 11 -15 September. Actually this is our second time and was superb. Very clean rooms directly facing the ocean, great food and excellent staff! Highly recommend this place. Only down side is the sea **** on the beach which is a lot at this time of the year. Would recommend the sunset dhow cruise which the hotel arranges (At an extra cost)
