The location is great. The breakfast was great too. Only thing is there is too much of disturbance coming from other rooms, everyone running around! Overall the stay was great.

The Granville Hotel is a 4-star hotel in the centre of Waterford city and, from our experience (4 couples who stayed there for 1 night in 4 double room), it is worthy of that star rating. We ate dinner together in its lovely Bianconi Restaurant and were very happy with the food and drink we were served and with the excellent service. Breakfast was also served there, and the level of service and choice of fare offered were also very good - including the hot food options which were cooked to order and brought to the table rather than delivered via a self-service buffet. We stayed in standard double rooms which were quite spacious, well decorated, clean and well heated (we were there in February), Our rooms also had air conditioning, which we did not need to use. Here are another couple of things to be aware of: The Granville does not have its own cark park but has an arrangement with the Clock Tower Car Park across the road. Bus Eireann's Expressway bus terminus is a short walk away on ther other side of the road, while Waterford's railway station is on the other side of the River Suir (walkable at a push). It doesn't have a swimming pool or a spa but that didn't bother us.

Lovely stay in The Granville. Staff very friendly and helpful. Spotless bed rooms and dining area. Enjoyed a lovely breakfast with loads to choose from.

Our stay at the Granville was very enjoyable. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The food was fantastic. That was our second visit and we cant wait to get back again. Once again thank you so much.

Excellent historical property with exceptional service. The attitude from the front desk to the restaurant staff was as good as you can hope for on any trip.

Everything is up to standard at this hotel. Courteous staff very helpful, good quality food, excellent lunch carvery. The room was big and spacious with a good size ensuite. Access is a bit complicated if you are driving and don’t know the layout of the city centre, the Sat nav can lead you around in circles. The car park is across a very busy road opposite the hotel. Would we stay again? Yes definitely.

Check in staff rather curt, one of the breakfast staff completely ignored our request to sit by the window, our room 210 had a view of window bars, air conditioning etc, woken early by the noisy housekeeping & very loud plumbing from adjoining rooms every time their tap was turned on. Avoid the curry on the bar restaurant, ate one spoonful & tasted awful, staff completely ignored the fact that I said it tasted awful, no refund offered etc.

Cannot recommend. Check in at 4! No earlier even though we were waiting in the lobby two hours early and watched others check in. The room we finally got was not the best (very small). Did not feel like a valued customer.

The Granville is one of my favourite hotels in Ireland. It never fails to impress. Staff are outstanding, rooms are spotless and unique, The bar and restaurant are exceptional. Fabulous location and easy parking.

We had a fantastic stay for 2 nights, enjoyed the breakfast and also had lovely lunch. Fiona in reception was lovely when we were checking out. But all the staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable and homely. Nice touches that you dont always get in a hotel in the city. We will definitely be back.
