When we first got there we were given a room that someone had been smoking in. Smelt like someone had just had one. Receptionist said they were fully booked but she would try and find another room which she eventually did. Then however, basically said that that’s the only other room there is. By this point we were running behind as we had an appointment. When my husband walked in that room there was a wet DIRTY towel on the bedroom floor. We found a cleaner who didn’t speak English and just gave us new towels. The room felt like someone had kept the heating on it was so hot. We both had showers but the room was so hot we ended up having to sit in our car with the aircon on just to do my makeup and hair which was still wet due to the hair dryer not working properly, furthermore also where the only mirror was had no light so it was actually dark to even attempt to do makeup there. On top of that there were not plug sockets next to the bed (just usb) so we had to make a stop to buy an extension lead from Morrisons which isn’t far away, as my husband has a machine he has to use at night, which is a plug. We got back from our appointment and the room was even hotter. The fan in the room was useless, the window didn’t open far enough to feel a breeze. Then the pillows we had were like paper thin. Not the premier inn usually comfy pillows. My husband went to reception and she basically made it out like asking for pillows was a difficult task. She eventually cane up with the same thin pillows. By this point the room was so hot that I was hyperventilating as it was so bad. We decided to travel back home that same night. We told the receptionist and she basically didn’t care and told us to phone customer services and try to get our money back. We did phone the next morning. The staff memeber was very friendly and we did get our money back. However, that was because we did try and resolve it with staff in the hotel first. If you have a problem make sure you speak to a receptionist so that if you for any reason want your money back customer service can the try and give it you. Over all I wouldn’t stay here again even though we have stayed in the same hotel 2times before.
