Watford (Croxley Green)

The location is not very good, not close to the tube.

Ww have just returned home after a two bight stay here. We had a great time although the room was exceptionally hot. All staff were helpful there and on the brewyers fayre next door. The only down side is there is a free phone direct to a taxi service. We were there to go to harry potter studios. We booked a taxi for 9.15 in the morning and it arrived at 9.50 jot a good start. We were charged 25.00 for the taxi which we did not think was bad considering the distance and it being london. When we called a taxi from harry potter studios to get back we were only charged 13.50 wow what a difference in price for exactly the same journey. Take our advice do not use the free phone in premier inn its a rip off

Stayed for 2 nights. Fairly shabby hotel. Room smelt of stale cigarette smoke. Breakfast was at next door pub - equally shabby. Standard breakfast

Clean room and toilet with fresh towels which is the most important thing in the stay. Toilet had an empty bottle of shower gel and hand wash, not sure why but when asked the receptionist to replace the bottles, they said they will check and let me know but got no replacement which was a disappointment.

Very friendly staff made us feel very welcome clean rooms on arrival cleaners was very helpful and polite breakfast at the restaurant was very nice and well cooked rooms are a nice size had no issues the 3 day we was here looking forward to are next return many thanks for a wonderful stay 😀

I stayed here on 29th August. It was a hot day. The rooms do not have air conditioning and the windows only open a tiny bit. A fan is provided and this fans hot air around the room. I would not stay here again in the hotter months

When we first got there we were given a room that someone had been smoking in. Smelt like someone had just had one. Receptionist said they were fully booked but she would try and find another room which she eventually did. Then however, basically said that that’s the only other room there is. By this point we were running behind as we had an appointment. When my husband walked in that room there was a wet DIRTY towel on the bedroom floor. We found a cleaner who didn’t speak English and just gave us new towels. The room felt like someone had kept the heating on it was so hot. We both had showers but the room was so hot we ended up having to sit in our car with the aircon on just to do my makeup and hair which was still wet due to the hair dryer not working properly, furthermore also where the only mirror was had no light so it was actually dark to even attempt to do makeup there. On top of that there were not plug sockets next to the bed (just usb) so we had to make a stop to buy an extension lead from Morrisons which isn’t far away, as my husband has a machine he has to use at night, which is a plug. We got back from our appointment and the room was even hotter. The fan in the room was useless, the window didn’t open far enough to feel a breeze. Then the pillows we had were like paper thin. Not the premier inn usually comfy pillows. My husband went to reception and she basically made it out like asking for pillows was a difficult task. She eventually cane up with the same thin pillows. By this point the room was so hot that I was hyperventilating as it was so bad. We decided to travel back home that same night. We told the receptionist and she basically didn’t care and told us to phone customer services and try to get our money back. We did phone the next morning. The staff memeber was very friendly and we did get our money back. However, that was because we did try and resolve it with staff in the hotel first. If you have a problem make sure you speak to a receptionist so that if you for any reason want your money back customer service can the try and give it you. Over all I wouldn’t stay here again even though we have stayed in the same hotel 2times before.

ROOM 416 - System was not working on check in - was told to wait until 23.00 to get a second room key - parking has anyways been free, now had to paid £14 - room cleaning was poor on check in - room was not cleaned once after I checked in, was not told about any new process..... turns out you have to TELL the hotel if you want your room cleaned... ridiculous! No Air con, could not open the windows - TV did not work - No tea or coffee or sugar just milk. Breakfast was very average - no drinks machines working. Bar toilet in a terrible mess, not only not clean, but cold and damp. Very poor for a Premier Inn.
