Happen to be there last Thursday!!! Was a nice quiet get away. Staff were friendly. Rooms recently been refurbished and pretty clean. A nice beachfront spot with a nice clean pool . Will definitely visit this place again. Thank you for a pleasant and chilled out stay 😊

I recently stayed at Crystal Villa Weligama, and it was an incredible experience! This place is perfect for families, especially if you have kids. The place is not only child-friendly but also an ideal spot for surfers or anyone interested in learning to surf. They offer surf lessons, making it easy for beginners to catch some waves. The pool area is lovely, providing a great place to relax after a day of surfing. The food here is excellent, with a variety of delicious options to choose from. What really stood out to me was the friendly and attentive staff, who made our stay even more enjoyable. Whether you're a seasoned surfer or just looking for a relaxing family vacation, Crystal Villa Weligama is the place to be. I highly recommend it!

The Villa is in the center of the weligama beach surf area, you can surf right outside the door! The garden with palm trees and the pool in it is so beautiful and nice to relax. The staff is really friendly and always help if you have questions or need tips on what to do!

I went with my fiance & booked the chalet. It looks nothing like in the photos. The bedroom smells of urine & mold, the bed has very old mattresses with holes in them, there is little to no light. The bathroom has mold in it, the water pressure was very low, everything was rusty. The photos they post are at least 15 years old. We got headaches from the mold and asked to change rooms. We had to downgrade to the normal room without getting refund for the price difference to be able to sleep. And we couldn't leave as we paid over 900 dolars for 9 nights and they don't give full refund back. For some reason they decided to renovate outside the building, so one day they just entered on our balcony without saying. I got out of the shower naked and noticed 2 men looking at me. My fiance asked them to leave, but they didn't speak english and continued to try looking in the room. The people from the hotel didn't seem to understand that that behavior was very inapropriate. The next day we got woken up by loud bangings coming from the roof. When we went downstairs there was no one at the reception. They "forgot" to give us the breakfast we had already paid for. The water in the swimming pool was merky and there was moss on the walls of the pool. I do not recommend this place, they treat tourist like walking ATMs.

We had a lovely stay at this small and intimate hotel. Shehan was a charming and attentive manager, with an eye to your comfort. Breakfast was typical of what most hotels serve, but it was a very nice breakfast terrace looking over the sea. Beds are comfortable and rooms spacious with excellent airco. Perfect wifi. Brilliant swimming pool and wonderful location on the beach. I think the hotel needs a bit of TLC. Everything is just a little tired. It just seemed there's been little maintenance since it was built. Small things like fixing the holes in the guttering or mosquito netting in the bathroom, or fixing the cistern properly instead of propping it up with a piece of styrofoam. It would also benefit from small things like comfortable furniture on the balconies, or mosquito nets above the beds.

I visited Weligama to learn to surf - it has one of the best beaches in Asia for beginners. Having booked my lessons with Freedom surf I began looking for somewhere to stay nearby.There is loads of accommodation available however I wanted to be on the beach and with a pool - which narrows down the choice. I didn’t want a huge resort hotel either as I prefer independent businesses. Finally I found Crystal Villas located right next to The Marriott and a third of the price which ticked all the boxes. My Villa No 26 was facing the ocean located in a lovely garden with the pool right beside it. There are only 6 rooms at the property and plenty of space, so it never feels crowded. Breakfast is served in the restaurant in the main building and was delicious.The property was built about 25 years ago in a traditional style which could benefit from some updating. The bathroom of my Villa was partially open to the elements as the shower is outside - which I thought was really cool however a lick of paint would make a huge improvement. All the staff were really friendly and the chef offered to serve breakfast at anytime to suit us which was really appreciated.On departure the manager Sujith Rathnayake arranged our taxi transfer to Colombo and personally got up at 4am to see us off with a packed breakfast to take with us in the car!That was such a kind thought.For the incredible beach location and pool this place is an absolute steal and I loved it however it does need some TLC to bring it up to date. Having said that I’ll definitely be back!

It was a pleasant vacation with beach vibes. Food and accomodation was A grade. 🐙 salad was superb and tasty. Peaceful atmosphere with attentive staff who helped us. Highly recommend for families and couples.

My boyfriend and I spent a couple of days here and loved it! It is right at the beach with a lush garden, huge palms and a very good size swimming pool. The breakfast was awesome, they offer fresh fruit / eggs / toast,.. a bit of everything! We also wanted to try something local so we had milk and rice called kiribath. Rooms are big with the sea view and the staff is friendly, super kind, and went extra mile multiple times. Special thanks to the general manager Shehan, chef Krishantha, Tharindu (cleaning rooms and pool) and the head waiter Dhayartna - we'll miss you!!!!

We had a great week at crystal villa. In front of the surfspot in Weligama. We could watch the waves from the big balcony. Very spacious room with everything we needed. Excellent sri lankan breakfast included, so yummy. And the staff, very friendly and Shehan always was there for us when we needed help with visa or anything else :-) Thank you so much again. We will be definitly coming back next year :-)
