James Cook Hotel Grand Chancellor Reviews

The hotel is situated in a very good location in downtown Wellington. We can go around the city very easily. The breakfast place is on the 17/F. The environment is good and it’s tidy. However, the breakfast lacks variety esp. when we take guests who are from all over the world into consideration. Also, the hotel room looks very old. Beds are relatively small. The bed can barely fit 2 people to sleep and it’s funny that the beds are movable. The most disappointing issue is the hair dryer. It works only for few minutes! The model is just too outdated! Staff are just ok.

We had a wonderful stay and enjoying the great location and convenience of exploring the city. The room is newly renovated, clean and well kept. My daughter had the really delicious gelato as shown in the photo.

It was a wonderful stay and easy to access town with the elevator.

O M G. The staff are so lovely, the room was perfect for our overnight stay. The ladies at the front desk were super busy when we checked in but still managed a smile for everyone. The bussiness however meant that we weren't told about the charge for parking. We were happy to pay because secure overnight parking is hard to come by, but it was a surprise when the gentleman checking us out advised of it. (It does say about the charge on the back of the paper that goes in your car windscreen, however after being mucked around by our initial hotel, we were in too much of a rush to get sorted for the concert we were attending that we didn't even think to read it)

Nice hotel, just feel the cost of parking is a bit steep, what happen to the time that if you stayed in a hotel the parking was free
