Our stay was very comfortable. Breakfast was great-enough to keep us on our feet in the Grand Canyon. We had dinner all 3 nights at the Penn Wells Hotel lounge. The food was great. A special shout out to Jackie for her great service and friendliness! The heated spa was the best after a day of hiking. Thanks to all of you for a great vacation getaway.

The room was great, nice and clean and the staff was excellent. We have stayed there several times and wouldn't stay any other place. The breakfast was fantastic and provided almost anything you wanted to eat. We have gotten to know some of the staff, and feel we are part of the Lodge family. If you have a choice, the Lodge can't be beat.

Extremely nice people! Know that this is an older property if you aren't in the tower. Expect that it is not perfect and don't complain about that to the super kind people at the desk. Perfectly comfortable staying in the older section. There is not an elevator to the second floor if that will be an issue for you. No countertop in the bathroom if that will be a problem for you. If you're a happy person and flexible, it's a nice place to stay.

This is a splendid looking hotel that still retains some old world charm. The swimming pool is even more splendid with a wood and glass skylight that lets the sun hit the pool water. Breakfast was great. Parking is convenient. Kids loved it and so did we.

Had trouble with our reservation but it was handled very fast, everyone was very kind and accommodating with whatever we needed. We even got back to the hotel and watched the baseball game and ate wings we got doordashed. The air and heat work very well! The beds are very comfortable with very nice blankets and there’s enough pillows! The gym is nice and the pool is big! Perfect location also

Liked location.
Bathroom: no usable counter space at sink. Toilet paper receptacle requires a reach. Bathroom in need of revision or painting. First night miserable sleep on extremely worn
mattress, second night used other bed; was better but It
probably needs replaced. Most I ever paid for a room
expected a better experience.

The staff was wonderful and the hot breakfast was very good. My only negative is the toilet paper holder is too far from the toilet seat. I am older and only 5'2 and having to reach around the sink to get the toilet paper was difficult.

We had recently sold our camper but had one last camping trip previously planned with friends. I searched for a pet friendly venue near wellsboro and the PennWells Lodge was perfect. The room was clean and comfortable. The location was convenient. We spent time with our friends at Ives Run and they spent time with us in Wellsboro. It was easy to walk to the shops and restaurants from our location. We didn’t go to the PA Grand Canyon on this visit, but hope to come back again next year!
