Homewood Suites by Hilton Cincinnati/West Chester

Lots of smokers outside room

Planned a romantic night with my friend that ended up less then ideal. She had been working all day and was really looking forward to a bubble bath. Doubled checked the amenities and found a suite with a tub for $10 more so I booked it. Spent the afternoon gathering bubble bath, wine, flowers etc. so she could relax. During check-in verified the room had a bathtub. I was informed that #409 did not have a tub, flabbergasted explained I was very specifically reserved a room for that amenity. The manager searched and confirmed no rooms with tubs were available. Since the room was non-refundable I had no choice, but the situation really degraded our experience. One last note, the dresser drawers would not say closed. This could be a trip hazard leading to an injury. Picture attached.

The room was nice besides the peeling wallpaper in the hallway. The room upstairs was also ver noisy. We tried to call the front desk, but the phone in our room also didn’t work.

Clean hotel with a friendly staff. OK on the breakfast, nothing to write home about but the comfort and the way the rooms are set up is amazing for sleep. We had a great time.

Friendly staff. Great breakfast. We loved our two-day stay. Would definitely come back. Bonus: super convenient location for enjoying a weekend in West Chester.

I thought this would be one of the better hotels. I’m originally from Cincinnati but have been coming back last 8 yrs on and off and what I remember West Chester was always considered one of the better neighborhoods. I travelled with my daughter so I picked a more expensive place that I knew to be good because I stayed at the mason location before. Well the first night I noticed an ant in the bathroom. I just killed it but didn’t think much because it was only one or so I thought. The next day I noticed my daughter crouched down looking at something on the floor and when I got up to see what she was looking at it was multiple ants all over the bathroom floor by the closet and sink! When I called down to report it, the front desk person just said “I will send housekeeping up.” I’m like what is that going to do and he was like well “they can exterminate if necessary.” Then I said with us and our stuff still in the room!? Then he going to say well do you want to go to another room? I mean you would have thought that would have been the first thing out his mouth! Then they had the most dirty Duvet and mattress pad on the bed. I was so disgusted I had been so tired traveling that the night we checked in I didn’t get a chance to really clean my room and change out the sheets as I normally do and I regretted it the next day! I wish I could upload my pictures and videos. The only reason I gave a 3 star for overall is because the new room they moved us to was cleaned to my liking

Average Homewood hotel, extremely nice staff, the room and bathroom were very clean. Common areas were sufficiently okay. I just felt that hotels need to do a better job on long term repairs and deep cleaning. The coach chair in the bedroom had horrible stains to the point that we were disgusted to sit down. Some lamps the bulbs didn’t work properly. Next time in Cincinnati I’ll probably try out a different hotel!
