A must!
The perfect, charming bed and breakfast! Service was top notch from check in to restaurant service. The rooms are so comfortable and well decorated. We loved our stay here.

Upon our arrival (during a snow storm), we were greeted by a lovely and friendly woman who checked up in and gave us the overview. Our experience at the Chesterfield Inn was fantastic. This is an Inn with newer amenities and antiques to add New England charm. The location is quiet and country. Our room (#20) was private, large, spotless and comfortable - complete with a romantic fireplace. A complete breakfast each morning served with a smile and total courtesy. We had dinner in the restaurant one evening, which was just perfect. I had leg of lamb with mint chimichurri that was cooked to perfection. I would highly recommend the Chesterfield Inn!!!!

Excellent place. Well run establishment.The room was huge, comfortable,very clean and updated. The restaurant was great - the included breakfast was very very nice and service was great. We had dinner one night and it was excellent. It is nice to have restaurant on site, because there aren't restaurants nearby, although there are some in nearby Brattleboro. Would definitely stay there again.

An excellent getaway. Owners take pride in buildings, interior and exterior. All employees were friendly, professional and just plain seemed to enjoy working there. We have stayed at the inn, I believe five times now, all in different rooms. This time #15 and it was large and spoiled us greatly. Clean, comfy and area to spread out with living room (fire place), bedroom and bath. Have tried just about everything on the menu for dinner. Next time will venture out for the small plates and appetizers. I would ask the server about the size of the "small plates." They could be larger than you consider. No complaints whatsoever about the food. And, breakfast....well we love it.

Spending time at the Chesterfield Inn during foliage season has become a tradition over many years. I look forward to checking in for a week of relaxation every October. I love all the conveniences of “my” room facing the pond. Even though I don’t travel with a pet, the pet friendly rooms are the best with every amenity you could want plus they are more private and offer the illusion of seclusion which I find very appealing (in reality you are mere steps away from the main inn). Room service is readily available for breakfast and dinner. Service is wonderful and the food is delicious. I always feel very spoiled by the staff when I stay at this inn. I left this time around feeling refreshed and with my October 2025 reservation confirmed. I highly recommend the Chesterfield Inn to anyone seeking a superior travel experience.

Traveling thru the northeast on a leaf peeping vacation. Stayed at Chesterfield Inn for the night in room #23. Excellent room with all the comfort of home. The gas fireplace was a real treat and helped knock the chill off. Had a wonderful breakfast the next morning before we continued on our travels. The dining room and food were excellent and all the staff that we interacted with were gracious and friendly. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Lots of things were lovely; fantastic room service food (unbelievably fresh and delicious, better than anywhere I’ve ever eaten in a hotel while traveling), beautiful serene natural setting, and wonderful design of the buildings plus COOKIES and tea in the afternoon. The service was also fantastic. The paint could use freshening and the bathroom grout needs redoing (or consider retiling). A piece of one window pane, a wood bit, fell off… so I stuck it back, obviously needs a proper repair. With minor refurbishment, this establishment could be exquisite. Also, New Hampshire or Vermont local bath products would be preferable to English imports. Other things that made this a lovely place to visit was Yoda the tuxedo cat, the reclaimed barn main building, the lovely fireplaces, the proximity to Brattleboro and Keene, the pond and surrounding area, and the very amiable and kind, friendly staff.

I want to start out by saying thank you to all that work there they are all so friendly and helpful this was our 12th visit and i never get bored going to this inn the rooms are all beautiful and both meals breakfast and dinner are to die for love love this place we will be back

We stayed for a night and had a nice visit. Everyone we interacted with (front desk and servers in the dining room) were extremely friendly. We stayed in room 17 upstairs. It was large and although warm when we arrived, had a great air conditioning unit that cooled the room down quickly. The dinner was good (don’t miss the Mac and cheese in a crock!) and breakfast was great. The Inn is easily accessible from the main road but still feels remote when you’re on campus. One thing to note is there is a cat that roams the interior of the property (even when you’re eating). Some will find this charming, others might not. The building is very well maintained. We would stay here again for sure.
