Travelodge Retford Markham Moor

As I was admitted to hospital, we were unable to use our booking, so cannot comment on the location, cleanliness, service or facilities. Had we been provided with a working telephone number for the hotel, we would have done the courtesy of letting them know. I suppose I could have made up a glowing review, to earn the 50 Trip coin bonus. Is offering a reward for a review a bribe?

On arrival I was checked in by kaz who was very friendly and welcoming spoke to me about the area stuff to do and what to eat reception was very clean the bed itself was very comfortable and clean, bathrooms could do with updating but the overall cleanliness was brilliant. My room was very quiet and the staff were lovely, on checkout I was checked out by the manager Lisa who asked how my stay was which I thought was very nice as other hotels I’ve stayed in they are not as friendly as this one it’s like a family ran hotel, I would recommend anyone travelling to that area to stay in Retford markham moor travel lodge.

You get what you pay for including standard cleanliness of room and ideal location for the concert at Sherwood Pines. Book a taxi in advance as not ideal location from that perspective. Mixed experiences of customer service, two extremes from rude to cant do enough for you

One of those places that time has forgotten. I've heaped so much positive praise on Travelodge, how many of their hotels equal the 'Premier' experience.. this place though is like a step back to the old bad times. Some people might say you get what you pay for, that would be fine if it were just a fiver. At £60 I think you deserve more.

I am not normally one for writing reviews but felt I had to for this hotel. We having been staying here about 3 nights a week since April 2024 for work & when working away from home for long times can be hard. We cannot thank the team (headed up by Lisa) enough for making the time away less stressful than it might normally be. Where possible the team at Retford would try and give us the same rooms every week, which really makes a difference when spending so much time away from home. They have been happy to help in anything that we needed and we really appreciate that. Travelodge have an excellent team here and after the first couple of stays, was the main reason we have created a business account to aid the booking process. The location of the hotel meant as we have been working around rural Nottinghamshire & Lincolnshire, every where has been less than 30 mins away, so a great spot to commute from. Big thanks to Lisa, Kaz, Karen, Sue, Emma, Josh, Rosemarie and the other hospitality staff that have made our stays so welcoming. We will back again ! Team Hud-tech

Room and bathroom clean and fresh, plenty of room for wheelchair. Although not a totally accessible room for those that can transfer easily it was perfect. Staff so friendly and helpful it was more like staying with friends than asa customer. Will definitely booking our next stay soon as perfect placement for visiting local towns and even going slightly further afield.

Overall clean tidy and friendly with good access to motorways. Downfall is there is not much around for food and rooms are dated. Good for a late stop off stay, not good if staying in area for a few nights.

Very tired externally and internally grounds not maintained bathroom had a strong odour some members of the family felt their room was dirty and they experienced condensation issue on windows and an accompanying smell
