This Hotel is so bad it should be closed down. When we arrived we has to wait four hours to check in although there were ONLY 3 other guests in the whole hotel!! We also had to check out at 12.00 even though our flights were not till 2150. 1)Very worn out room ( even though we had paid much more for a beach bungalow, which just about had a sea view) 2)In 5 days we never had a hot shower, but I did have a lukewarm shave on the last day. 3) Totally inedible terrible food that on the first night after a 2 hour wait (for chicken and rice!) made us so ill and the breakfast buffet is a complete joke. We did not eat there again. 4) In the afternoon they open the pool area to locals, so lying on a sunbed trying to relax with hoards of screaming kids in the pool playing VERY loud local music and youths playing football around us, constantly hitting the beds and jumping over us was impossible. This happened daily. 5) constantly running out of preferred drinks. 6)Whilst the waiting on staff etc were very friendly, if you asked a question that the management didn't want to answer or didn't have an answer for all of a sudden they didn't understand. The top end of Zanzibar has some of the best beaches in the world which are a $60 return taxi away however this hotel is in a terrible filthy location, (even remembering that is is a very third world country) and even the security told us not to go for a walk in either direction on the beach because of "Bad People" Simply AVOID at all costs.
