The room itself was very good. Comfortable bed, bathroom very clean. Unfortunately only one towel had been left. Which for a couple staying four nights was not enough. So down to reception we went to ask for another towel, and a mat to stand on when exiting the shower. It was rather irritating - to say the least - that at least four times we had to go to reception and get our key cards re-done. Apparently they are quite skittish. We were told, politely, not to put them near a phone, or credit card etc. This may be the case with some people, but we know for certain that one of the cards were not near anything at all. This was very annoying when we had to go back to reception via a wet and windy car park to get a key re issued. The staff were always very pleasant, but it was annoying. Luckily, on one occasion a very kind lady who was getting rooms ready actually went to reception on our behalf because my husband had already been - pressed the bell twice - and had no response. She went beyond her duty. The Beefeater restaurant for breakfast was perfectly adequate. Hot food, pleasant staff. But.....if you have a meal deal and go for dinner it seems that many of the options now have supplements on them. Added to this, some ciders and beers may or may not be available. The staff were not sure, which all in all seemed a tad un professional. We have had meal deals through Premier Inn previously, but we wonder if the extra supplements will make it worth while in the future. Plus it can now be confusing working out the prices. The hotel is ideally located - nicely placed near all major roads. Parking is very good too, just remember to input your reg number.
