**Disappointing Stay with Some Positives** I recently stayed at White's Hotel and had a mixed experience. Upon arrival at 4:20 PM, I was informed my room wasn't ready as others who arrived early had been given priority. I was placed in a basement room, which was damp-smelling with marks on the floor. The room overlooked the garage and seemed quite tired. Later, I discovered the bedding hadn't been changed. Fortunately, Kim, the manager, kindly upgraded me to a suite, which was a nice improvement despite being a bit dated. Breakfast was another letdown. The sausages seemed to have been sitting out for hours, and the orange juice was watered down. When I requested a decaffeinated latte, Aga, a manager, informed me the machine wasn't working until later. After complaining at reception, I asked for a fresh breakfast to be brought to my room. The breakfast arrived in the same disappointing state, and Aga’s attitude was less than pleasant. I addressed the issue with another manager, who was dismissive and condescending, offering a long-winded explanation about cost-saving measures. He even suggested he would be happy to eat the breakfast I had shown him on video. Overall, I rate my experience two stars. The hotel needs new management and a serious wake-up call.
