Ctrip said it was a hotel, which is a bit misleading. After arriving, I found out it was a B&B. It was the first time in my life that I stayed in a hotel where I shared the bathroom with strangers, and I felt very uneasy. The room is clean and tidy, but the public area is relatively old.

What a lucky find. First time in Whangarei and this place is a home away from home. Great walking location with major supermarket next door. This place is super clean,fabulous kitchen with fabulous gas oven,very comfortable tv lounge.Good comfortable bed and strong hot shower. Nothing to complain about here and most of all the hosts Selina and Jackson are delightful. I will be back.

Priced perfectly my room had two single beds (solo traveller), sharing two toilets and two showers with three other rooms. Large well equipped shared kitchen with separate, lounge. Hosts very amenable and keen to share info on things to do in the area. Parking for six plus cars plus on road spaces. Large supermarket opposite. Bed was clean and comfy.

I booked to stay last night through the internet and paid for it only to be told they were full and couldn’t accept me. This was at eight in the evening and made it very difficult for me. I am awaiting a refund promised to me. I definitely wouldn’t recomendo this property
