Motel is located next to the MacDonald. KFC, restaurants, supermarkets and shops are nearby. Can cook. Sky TV is available. Friendly and helpful host. Walkable to the city centre for intercity bus.

I can tell that the hosts have put a lot of thoughts and care into their motel. I like that there are heater, fan, microwave, plates, complimentary muesli, biscuits and milk, etc in the room, however, unfortunately we had really bad sleep because the shower seemed to be leaking, weird clicking noises kept going on throughout the day and the night in the room and it was almost impossible to sleep.

Functional room, a bit dated, but comfortable enough. Parking space for your room is ideal for travellers. Super flexible check in for my late arrival which I appreciated.

Place was clean and tidy. Friendly staff made checkin easy. Convenient main street location close to several eateries.

The motel was dirty. Mould in many many places like the window ledges, under the shower mat, around taps and shower head etc. Marks on the walls that could easily be cleaned off. Dust clinging to the walls higher up. Very marginal unwashed duvet.

This motel is very close to the supermarkets and is close to the centre of Whangarei.

Initially the manager tried to put me into a unit around the back that had a totally flooded carpark and was impassable. He then said he would 'upgrade me'. ?? The upgraded unit was dirty and I mean dirty. I will not be returning or recommending.
