We’ve never stayed at a Microtel before but tried it because the price was so good. It was perfect for an overnight where you just need a good night sleep in a comfy bed and a nice clean shower before checking out the next day. Check in was pleasant and friendly and the room was cozy and more than comfortable. Breakfast was a full breakfast and included with the stay. Everything was clean and perfect.

My husband and I stayed in room 102 at this hotel. The room smells like dog pee/poop. We can't fall asleep at night due to the smell. Front desk let us sleep in room 122 and allowed us to leave the luggage in 102. We went to room 122, the room smell of cigarette. At the end, front desk transferred us to room 119, which that room was fine. At 8 am, one of the Housekeeping ladies knocked our door in room 119. She woke us up without apologize. She asked if we were from room 102. She said someone was in our room. She was trying to open the door and couldn't open it. I was wondering why she needs to open the door since we have a do not disturb sign at the door. There have nobody inside the room besides the luggages. My husband went to room 102 after the lady left. The luggages are still in the room and nobody was inside. The same lady came again and told my husband that her key wasn't working. Her key wasn't able to open our door. We were just not sure why this housekeeping lady needs to keep trying to open our door. Do not stay in this hotel if you don't want someone to knock your door in the early morning and wake you up without apologize and trying to get into your room when you have a do not disturb sign at the door. Do not leave any valuable items in the room.

The hotel is a normal Fairfield, tucked back on a developing road with lots of restaurants to choose from. We stayed there last year and went back this year on a cross-country trip. To my surprise, they changed the breakfast and no one in our party could find a thing to eat. Instead of bacon/sausage and scrambled eggs, they had some weird egg dishes with jalepenos (who eats those for breakfast unless you're in the Southwest?) and nothing else hot unless you eat eggs. They did away with the waffle machine which the kids loved. They also did away with ALL bread -- and only had some sugary oatmeal and maybe sugary cereal. Absolutely no fruit or anything healthy at all. When I asked, the girl at the front desk said it was a new Marriott food menu and she had been getting a lot of complaints. Well... the next night we stayed at another Fairfield and guess what? Scrambled eggs, bacon, bagels, English muffins, two huge bowls of fruit (cantelope and honeydew). So either the girl was making this up or the franchise owners decided to cut costs way back at the expense of customers. Bring back a decent breakfast please. That's why we stay there!

GGuest UserOur four-night Christmas weekend stay was a very nice experience! The suite size was a welcome change from the standard hotel room. The firm bed provided a restful night sleep. The room heater was quiet and efficient. The buffet breakfast had a variety of choices. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend this place over Wilson Lodge--the rooms are larger, and it's reasonably priced. Good job!

WWEIThis is the most beautiful hotel on this American itinerary. The hotel is located on a beautiful hillside. When we checked in at night, we searched for the hotel for more than half an hour. The sign on the roadside was not obvious. It took a few laps to find it. You almost gave up.
I like the hotel's internal and external environment. A typical American hotel is the same as other American hotels. There is no kettle, toothbrush and toothpaste, and other facilities are good.
The lounge upstairs of the hotel lobby is very impressive, and there is a swimming pool next to it. There is a golf course in front of the hotel, a small lake behind, and many sika deer by the road at night.
If not in a hurry, I really want to stay in this hotel for another day!

3328gregorysI had originally planned on taking my wife to the mardigra ****** for Valentine's Day. But upon checking they do not allow smoking anywhere but outside. I don't smoke but I didn't want her to have to go outside in the freezing weather to smoke. So we decided to cancel and go to wheeling island and boy I'm glad we did. Check in was fast and they even let us check in 3 hours early. Every employee we met was very kind and ready to help in any way. The ****** floor was open and spacious but what impressed me the most was the ventilation system. I was able to sit right next to people smoking and the smoke didn't bother me a bit. I'm not one of those anti smoking nazis and I hate the way they alienate the smokers. We will definitely be back, in fact we're planning our next trip there already. I would like to thank wheeling island for a wonderful valentines weekend.

GGuest UserYou won't be disappointed in staying here. The motel is extremely clean and the staff are all friendly and helpful. I couldn't have been more pleased. The bed was very comfortable and I rested very well. The breakfast was also pleasing. I will always book my stay at this motel when I'm in the Wheeling area. I found it to be of overall EXCELLENT quality.

MMotown67This is an older hotel that has been  remodeled not fancy but functional. Room very clean, bed comfortable with easy parking in the back of building. There was only one channel on the TV to watch and only one outlet for charging.
