Georgian House Hotel

We had a faultless stay at the Georgian house hotel. We came to celebrte our friends 40th birthday nearby. We had a very comfortable nights stay, followed by an excellent breakfast in the morning at a time of our choosing. The hotel is well maintained and very clean, plus the staff are all wonderful. As and when we are in Whitehaven again, I know exactly where we are staying. Thank you to all of the staff for such a lovely stay. We will definitely be recommending the Georgian to others 👍

Beautiful food, lots to share with the munch box options and wow, the ribs, what a portion size. Can’t fault a single thing, the staff were polite and very attentive from the moment we arrived. One small thing is the sofa seating in the lounge was extremely comfortable but could do with a few more chairs or stools for those with difficulty in seating low down

Dinner for two, food was fantastic and staff were attentive and professional. Restaurant was busy but all food served piping hot on hot plates so retained heat well. Finally somewhere local that serves a decent steak. Peppercorn sauce was super tasty and chips were great.

It was my first time visiting here and my experience was excellent. My 4 friends had been before. The food, service and ambience are very good. I hope to return in the future. A great place to have a meal to celebrate a special occasion. I had a taste of my friend’s cheesecake and it was divine

We have just arrived home from a fantastic stay. We travelled from Liverpool as I had an interview in the area. From the minute we arrived they couldn’t do enough for us. First the rooms are done to a high standard. Well furnished with everything you need. Beds are very comfortable, great shower, tea, coffee, water, biscuits and crisp in the room. Fridge too. They really have thought of everything. The food is gorgeous. Sorry I forgot to take a picture of the full English or the other items on offer. Proper butchers choice in sausages, bacon and black pudding. The evening menu again you are spoilt for choice, with top quality ingredients. My sea bass was delightful, cooked perfectly it just fell to pieces. Not forgetting the room service and the bar staff. Faultless. Really gutted I had to cut or stay short because me being the dope I am, I left my medication at home. We will definitely be back. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Absolutely outstanding meal, special touch of a birthday balloon on the table for my partner, staff were attentive turkey beautiful place. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. We will most definitely return on any special occasion we can, this was our first experience but won’t be the last !

Lovely evening again at GHH, came as couples on this visit and had the tapas style menu…fave of my mine is the sticky orange chicken and the cheese sauce for the nachos…we had great service as usual and definitely worth the money…lovely atmosphere.

Evening meal was excellent I had Georgian chicken, partner steak, sauces tasty chicken and steak very good. Service cheerful, polite and efficient. All in all a very enjoyable meal out. Will return for another meal in the future..../....

Fantastic service , very professional and the food was fantastic , service was quick , and the staff all looked smart and polite , i would recommend this to anyone , the place is clean and they really make a effort. We had the tapas on this occasion and the variety was also good , i have tried the surf on turf on previous occasions and that was also fantastic
