AVOID, AVOID, AVOID - MONEY GRABBERS!! Only one star as not allowed to choose 0. Absolutely shocking customer service how the owner of this establishment can sleep at night I do not know. My fiancé booked a couple of rooms for June 2024 a number of weeks ago. Due to some additional people requiring accommodation he went into his *********** reservation on Saturday to amend the room to a triple room for the date he booked in June. However unbeknown to him the app had changed the date to Saturday, he soon realised what had happened when he got a confirmation email stating Saturdays date. Within minutes of the booking he tried to ring Alexander Hotel to no avail then messaged them to inform them of the error and got a response saying tough luck we wont refund you as the cancellation policy wont allow cancellations on the day. This was an error they were notified of instantly and could clearly see that the original room and others have been booked for weeks prior. The hotel will not refund despite us being told by *********** that they could have moved the reservation to the intended date and refunded. He is now £105 out of pocket and the customer service from this hotel is appalling all they see is the ££££ signs. Its the run up to Christmas and people don't have £105 to throw away to some greedy business. Now my child is going to suffer as we are significantly out of pocket. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE people avoid booking at this establishment and lining a greedy persons pocket. Alexander Hotel - Whitey Bay Shame on you and if you have any conscious at all do the decent thing and refund him.
