The best facial in the spa with Valerie! It was so relaxing and a little break from reality. Valerie was amazing it was such a peaceful relaxing experience from start to end. The products used smell divine and melted into my skin. Will definitely be back!

What an amazing experience we had at this hotel. I have stayed in many hotels but what stood out for me here was the staff. They were extremely friendly and helpful. A call out to Aoife on Reception. Always had a big smile and greeted us by name with a big hello. Will definitely be back thanks to all the staff for making our stay so enjoyable. Lorraine

Secluded get-away. Nice and relaxing with good service and excellent food.

Beautiful location but rooms could do with updating and dust behind bed was terrible.Breakfast was very poor, considering the price of stay. Had a facial, and wouldn’t go back for another. Food in Italian restaurant was lovely and bar on site had a lovely atmosphere. Most positive thing was location.

A couple of us had spa treatments (facials) recently. The pool area is lovely overlooking the greenery outside and the outdoor jacuzzi was great too- hydrotherapy jets are strong and the pool area was clean. Facials were only ok - no explanation of the products being used, no great results and not very relaxing either - therapists probably need a lot more training. Relaxation area and changing rooms are in poor condition, neglected and in need of refurbishment. None of the locks on the lockers work, the soap dispensers have not been cleaned “ever” it would seem - as they are grimy with soap scum from refilling, the shower controls have no visible marking for hot or cold water and none marking which control is for water flow and which is for temperature and there is no frosting on the shower doors - leaving you wholly exposed to all and sundry. And there are no hairdryers - there was one available in a separate room altogether but no one tells you about it and it’s useless anyway - it’s cover is burnt, it barely works and it’s a h&s risk. There is just a bowl of whole fruits in the relaxation area - the blankets are not clean and smell of damp and mould. For the prices being charged - the place does not offer value for money. When we were settling up, we waited to be asked about our experience but were not. The girl at reception on arrival was friendly and smiley.

Brooklodge was in such a beautiful place and the hotel was so comfortable with great bar service. The choices to eat were limited, but the overall atmosphere was relaxing and luxurious.

The property is quite lovely! Rooms are spacious and the grounds are well kept. I gave it a 3 for several reasons. Service at the restaurants is a bit hit or miss in that it was occasionally slow. The staff are all friendly. One thing to keep in mind is you are remote. Recommend only going if you have rented a car as you are practically stranded once there. We didn’t know to reserve the restaurants in advance so dining options are limited but the food was overall good.
