We were there in September this year for 5 days, Given our food at night as we were booked for evening meal. This hotel was not prepared for any of this never mind 50 guests, The food served to us was obviously brought in cooked and was inedible. Lovely for one night as a stop over but living out of a suitcase as no wardrobes or drawers. Situated in the middle of an industrial estate with nothing near. As we were on a tours during the day we did not have transport to go out at night. Therefore very boring. As most of the tour party were older people we were unable to walk down to the town which was about a half hour for someone who is able bodied. Drink sold in cans. One day we came back and ordered a cup of coffee and they had run out. Very disappointed. Not fully the hotels fault but our coach tours is liable to give us what we were promised.

Easy vibes is exactly what we want to express with our Holiday Inn - the niu, Mood Mainz: good mood and joie de vivre. The location near the main train station and the close proximity to the city center makes our Holiday Inn - the niu, Mood Mainz the ideal starting point for activities in the city. In the meantime you can leave your car (for a fee) in the hotel parking lot or in the underground garage. The hub for everyone is our open lobby: cozy sitting area with newspapers, 24-hour reception and 24-hour bar, co-working space - it's all in one and we welcome you warmly. In the morning breakfast is served from the buffet of course, so that everyone can start the day the way he or she likes it best. In the evening we recommend relaxing in the hotel's sauna.99 of our 279 rooms aree equipped with their own pantry with microwave, refrigerator and sink. The hotel has plenty of promise but it didn't really meet my expectations I chose the hotel specifically for its underground parking as it's quite some way out of the city centre, and so not somewhere I'd recommend if you didn't have car. When I got there I was told the underground parking was closed for maintenance, and I could park on the street, which at that time of day was impossible. It was only when I pushed the issue they said I could park in the little open air car park at the rear, which was still 15 EUR per day. The room they allocated me had a loud whining noise coming from the bathroom, and would have prevented me sleeping, and when I went to ask for a new room they didn't seem to believe me but then took ages to allocate me a new room. No idea why. One of the nice features of the hotel is if you choose to not have your room cleaned you get a token for a free drink at the bar. The first time I went to claim my drink the bar was closed as they were checking in lots of people, so can only assume were short staffed. The next night there seemed to be a single girl manning both the bar and the front desk and she couldn't cope (not her fault) so I just gave my token to a random guy as I wasn't prepared to wait so long for a free beer. On the positive side they were really helpful when I was stupid enough to drop a bottle of beer in the car park when unpacking my car, and they cleaned it up for me without any fuss. I would recommend staying as close to the centre of the hotel as I was at the far end (315) and the WiFi was very poor, and so had to tether my laptop to my phone. One really nice touch was the room had a bluetooth soundbar so you could play your music on your phone in the room. This was a really nice touch. Maybe I just had a bad experience, but I probably would not stay there again, and definitely not if I didn't have a car.

The Nassauer Hof has always been my favorite hotel in Wiesbaden. I have stayed there many times over the past 14 years; however, I have not been to Wiesbaden since the pandemic. When I got to the hotel, they had no record of me being a prior guest. They told me that their system was updated and that all older customers had been dropped off if there had been no stay in 2-3 years. When I would come in previously, I would always be greeted by name and receive an automatic room upgrade; this time, it showed as a first visit. My room was warm when I arrived. I put the air conditioning up, and I thought it cooled down. But it was still warm. I was at the property for three nights. Finally, on the third night, I couldn't take it anymore and called down to the front desk. A housekeeping staff member came in and could tell it wasn't working; she reported to Frau Lopez, who came and said to me that It was not working and that they could transfer my room.I was still trying to figure out how they could do that, as the hotel could not give me the extra third night at the front desk, and I had to book the third night on the hotel's website (not a partner website). I was very hesitant, but she and Jannis Bamberg made it seamless. Jannis brought my bags packed to the storage area so that I could take only one bag to the checkout in the morning. The room was not comparable to the one I was in, but it was cooler. There was a smell of old smoke. My real question is why a housekeeping staff member did not notice this and report it to the front desk. Instead, I noticed they turned the thermostat to max. Frau Lopez said that would never work as it can only reach a specific temperature. Perhaps, some training needs to be done. On a positive note, the spa at Nassauer Hof was as delightful as always, maintaining its high standards and providing a relaxing experience. One issue that needs attention is the bees, which seemed to be out of control during my stay. They were particularly aggressive around the outdoor areas and even found their way inside the breakfast area. I suggested placing small fans on the tables to deter them, and I hope this advice will be considered. The entire experience could have been better, and it's time to update the bed linens; they have been the same for at least 14 years.

Hotel clean and spacious for European hotels. However. No Parking on site. Have to walk to park. Staff not that friendly, even when they want to help they do not speak English. Not even a bell man to help with baggage. So if someone need assistance with baggage then he is stuck. Good location in down town. My advice they need to work on employee with their willingness to help and smile at least.

First of all this hotel is in a great location. Within walking distance to most places and close to bus stops that will take you in and around the city. Rooms are fairly modern looking but small and quite basic - no kettles, no minibar/fridge, poor pillows (bed however is very comfy despite the pillows). We had one single room which what you’d expect from a single room, small room and very small bathroom. We also had one double room which was just about big enough to fit a bed in. The hotel from the outside is a complete eyesore and looks like a run down shopping centre, however the lobby is quite nice and the rooms albeit basic have been fairly recently renovated. Unfortunately the hotel corridors and outside of the building clearly haven’t been touched. Wifi in the rooms is poor, there is never a full signal and it randomly drops in and out. If, like us, there were very little other hotel options for your visit then you can’t go wrong here. If you do have other options then go for them. You’ll be hard pressed to find a better location though.

This is just an outstanding place, with many quirks but they add to the charme - it's a 19th century chateau right by the Rhine (not on the levee; nothing is, the Rhine can be fierce), and it is very much a boutique chateau hotel. The place is famous as a two-star Michelin restaurant, but we went Monday-Wednesday when it's closed (but you can still get wine on the terrace etc.), which meant much more quietude, and it was great. Key for the experience was that we had the Tower Suite, their prime room, which has historical value - the German Constitution was discussed here shortly after WWII by the key party leaders. The bathroom is fine, the bedroom a bit low-ceilinged and dark, but the actual Tower Suite is great. It's a real space. Some constructive criticism: It's a consciously non-hip historical property, but in 2023, I think a Nespresso machine or at least a kettle is a must. In this suite, there shouldn't be random books, but at least a copy of the Constitution and a picture of Adenauer, Heuss and Carlo Schmid. To have the jacuzzi not work and not tell this in advance is so-so. And for a 400+ suite, I would as usual throw the breakfast in... But we really liked the wine selection (and the free carafe in the room); parking is great; and the staff was truly friendly and courteous. There is no elevator; the speed road goes right by between river and house (but that is the Hessian politicians' fault); and there is no pool or gym. But that one knows in advance and it's not a problem. So altogether, a very strong recommendation, especially for that suite. It's a significant, truly charming, almost otherworldly place, and if you like this - and in one of the loveliest regions of Germany - it's just a fantastic place.

Excellent
Fabulous stay - the staff were very friendly and welcoming, the room was clean and cozy, and the location is excellent. We stayed one night each in our own single rooms (which had double beds!) after arriving to Frankfurt from the U.S. on our way to Northern Germany.
GGuest UserGreat food and a careful, friendly, authentic sevice. We had thun tatar, the Dorade with truffles, mixed fish dishes and to the night table Tartufo .... everything was at the point and totally delicious. The tartufo is somehow a family recipe and the absolute hamper .... you must try! Delightful wine with good and friendly advice there was also. Even the espresso was particularly delicious. We were totally happy, around satisfied, the Pescaletta Wiesbaden has given us a very great evening and we will surely come back.
GGuest UserThe AC will only run when you insert the room key first. So you might enter warm and sticky rooms since the windows open only a small slot. Positive is that the AC is seperately controlled for each room, the temperature are not preset by the hotel or limited to e.g. 20° and equally important blow even on the min. setting sufficiently strong to cool down the room unlike in many other hotel chains (e.g.NH). Most rooms during my stay were in a good condition, but some rooms need a fix up. The worst are those rooms with worn out mattresses, when I wake up in the middle of the night with back pains. Today’s room however tops it all since I noticed left to my pillow the label “Foot End”. Whoever designed the bathroom never took a shower in his design, because even being very careful holding the shower head in the hand and away from the open cabin end, was I able to keep the passage dry, when you leave the shower head in the fixture the complete passage is wet. A cheap wiper to dry the passage would help, since towels are for drying yourself and not the floor. Depending on which side your room faces you might hear guests talking and laughing outside. If you don’t park directly in front of the entrance you have to lift your trolley and carry on over several steps, when you park at the side.
GGuest UserI didn't live, and I told me that the water pipe was broken. I changed a hotel (this one bears the cost of a new hotel). It takes 20 minutes to drive there. It's very tossing. Can you say that the Germans are more mechanical and can't contact in advance? . .
I would like to give it 4 points, but the title ”very good” just doesn't fit. The service was so-so and to be honest, the room just wasn't clean. The shelf in the shower was really dirty and there were hairs in the drain after the first shower. The hairdryer was also broken. I would have liked to have said that when I checked out, but no one was there. Unfortunately, I don't understand friendly and good service to mean anything else. The carpets on the stairs and in the hallways are in urgent need of replacement. Maybe with something friendlier. There are no windows in the hallways, which makes it quite dark. Aside from the cleanliness, the room was really nice. The space was used well and creatively. It was great that there was an espresso machine in the room, a telephone and even a radio. Ultimately, however, cleanliness would have been more important to me.
GGuest UserAfter there were technical problems in the hotel ”Small Hotel” booked by us, we were called and offered the transfer to the Hotel de France on the same conditions. The hotel is super, the staff was very friendly. The air conditioner in the room was not so effective now, but in the night an open window was enough for pleasant temperatures. We took a delicious tin to us in the afternoon, also breakfast was good.
I've read some of the previous reviews and they made me think. This hotel isn't pretending to be the Ritz. It is a classic German 3 star hotel and way up on the scale. The room was clean, beds extremely comfortable and the staff could not have been more helpful. They went above and beyond. As for the location, yes it may seem intimidating, but welcome to a 21st century European city. There is nothing intimidating, just people having a good time. There are a trillion restaurants within walking distance catering for every taste. Would I stay there again? Definitely.
