Marriott property so a larger standard hotel complex, beach type pool, and a great location to easily walk to downtown Willemstad. Highlights: - Super friendly staff. From the moment we arrived to when we left, everyone was so welcoming and kind. A special shout out to Alexis who was the MVP always with a big smile of his face and greeting us with "hello family!" and making our day. He gave us the best intro the hotel when we first got to our room. - Beachy pool: a salt water infinity pool overlooking the ocean with sand area to lounge under hut umbrellas. - Location: steps away from Rift Fort with several restaurants and a few shops, and 10 minutes walk to the other side of the bridge into Willemstad. - Happy hours: from 4-7pm daily you can hop between the 3 locations for 50% off some drinks at different hour slots (pool at 4, 5 o'clock somewhere at 5, and lobby bar at 6) - Nice and clean with blue and white decor throughout - Starbucks on property for those who need their coffee fix. - Nightlight: instead of a standard plug in light, there were words on the mirror reminding you to relax on island time. Midlights: - No food specials during happy hours - We booked direct and said we were eligible for a room upgrade but there was no mention about that being available and didn't seem like the hotel was full during the less popular summer season. Lowlights: - Water was suddenly shut off one night. Came back to the room after 10pm and when we tried to shower later, there wasn't water. Upon going downstairs to see what was going on, we find a note that I'll be off starting at 11pm. Apparently this happens every so often and they aren't able to control this. The staff was nice and apologetic - Some rooms without windows! I've never seen that before. Others with a view of the stores which isn't great. - No hamburgers on the weekends by the pool: only the grill with chicken, fish, etc. Nice spot if a larger hotel experience walkable to many things is what you're looking for.
