The Royal Sea Aquarium Resort

Like that it is on its own little island seperated from everything else and the much busier resort across the way.

There are a lot of mixed reviews of this location and some are objective but this is our version. In part this resort is simply a timeshare hotel. The selection of room you choose might not be exactly what the photos imply but similar in amenities. Yes the rooms could be slightly dated as I am sure it’s down to the owner to refurbish. However for the time you spend there would you really spend a lot of time in the room. All the equipment was working but damp around the bathroom so they provided a dehumidifier. There is a strong toilet smell at certain times of the day and it’s a simple way to deal with is to close the bathroom door and keep the lights and extraction on. The positive that they have an ice machine at the end of the hall way and encourage recycling. The beach facing Mamba beach had good loungers and some shade. The water is crystal clear between islands. The bar and restaurant is considered as a separate entity and managed by a gentleman called Diageo who was very knowledgeable over Rums of the islands, very professional and his dark and stormy cocktail is worth experiencing. The reception staff very efficient and the house keepers keep the rooms clean and serviced well. The pool area on some of the lounge beds were worn and could do with replacing. The pools clean and get tested daily. Overall we enjoyed our time there and would go back again. There was nothing that really would bother us to put us off returning.

Close to a lot of restaurants and bar. Quiet resort. Needs a little bit of love and care but overall nice!

We loved the property. It met or exceeded all of our expectations. Parking is a little off site, a short walk over a bridge where you can see many beautiful fish. There was always an attendant available to work a gate so that one could drive up the guest services area if needed for loading/unloading. Our room was very spacious and nicely decorated. The cleaning staff were almost a little too clean as they through out an empty bottle we had wanted to take back as a souvenir. We enjoyed breakfast every morning at the restaurant where we over looked the water. We had a wonderful time and would gladly stay there again. Front desk, cleaning and restaurant staff were all very friendly.

I would not have chosen this resort if I knew it was a time share. Room was dirty. Cleaning service changed our sheets once. Never washed the floors or bathroom the entire week we stayed. Terrible beds. Too small and hard mattress. Food not that great and overpriced for portions they give you. No scheduled shuttle buses to take you around the island. Beach has too many rocks. Not clean. Not enough umbrellas. No. I do not recommend this resort
