Mr. Ray was absolutely wonderful!!! He went above and beyond with his hospitality. I truly enjoyed my stay there and would definitely come back again. The common area was always near and the breakfast was always delicious! After a long day the staff always greeted us with a smile.

Breakfast was crowded and very little food remaining both mornings of our stay. Desk staff was friendly and helpful. I left an item behind and tried calling the hotel for hours once I got home and realized what had happened, but no answer. I chatted online and was told that I would get an email withing 3-5 days. Not getting a phone call answered is frustrating and unprofessional.

Traditional American family hotels are my favorite tone, solemn, practical and clean with details, between these pure family travel and business family + business style.
Not far from costco and walmart
Important message: If you drive a tram, there is a EV connect charging station in the gm 4S behind the hotel. It is a DC fast charging, very fast and very convenient.

This was a great stop and good location w plenty of parking. And a bar nearby walking distance. Comfortable beds and lemon water in the lobby. I saw a sparkling clear out door pool. just have to say that the mini fridge and the ac/heat unit are noisy and keep you from sleep. The black out curtains don’t really black out any light from the parking lot:( and it seems that there are an abundance of long black curly hairs all over the sink and toilet. That was gross. I mentioned it to someone getting my tv to work for me, he said “ it’s the maids”

We arrived late because we were traveling from NH to move our daughter in to her apartment. After reading the negative reviews I waited to book my points until we got here. When I walked in at 11:56 the woman at the front desk said to book asap before 12. So I booked a queen bed and a pull out couch because that is all that was left for points. After she realized we were there with our daughter, she upgraded us to two queens and a much larger room. She was so accommodating and super nice. I wish I got her name (she was working August 2nd at 11:56). When we got to our room it was really nice and large. Yes, it is dated (but very clean) and the rooms are pet friendly so there were dogs there but they didn’t bark at all. The room smelled nice. No bugs (like people mentioned) and we had a great nights sleep before we had to move a truck load of furniture. The breakfast was also very good. Eggs, oatmeal (with a million toppings), sausage, bagels, toast, muffins. The woman running the breakfast was also super nice walking around and asking everyone if they needed anything. I definitely recommend this place.

We stayed for a few days to golf and visit our daughter at UNCW. Beau Rivage is clean, very spacious and relaxing. Our room was large with plenty of space for two. The best part is the living room area/kitchenette too! Any required store is literally a 5 minute drive away. We were treated very kindly by all staff/employees. We really enjoyed the pool and the restaurant is amazing. The golf course is beautiful, very well maintained and not intimidating (I'm a beginner!) We plan on staying again next year. I highly recommend Beau Rivage!
Discover Lumina on Wrightsville Beach, a reimagined resort that draws on the storied history of a beloved beach pavilion. Designed in a bygone era to showcase the marvel of electricity, the original Lumina shone so brightly that sailors navigated their ships by it – and generations of beach-lovers navigated their social lives around it.We recapture that spirit today in a resort space lit with camaraderie, beckoning visitors and locals alike with dazzling hospitality. Certain guest room here enjoys an ocean view; most have balconies and some have bunk beds to better accommodate families. Recreation opportunities abound, with three pools and direct beach access, a hammock garden, even a beachfront fitness center, plus a full slate of onsite activities and entertainment. The best food on the beach is right here, too, from fine cocktails and cuisine to bar bites and local brews.

The hotel rooms are really nice. All new I guess due to a recent upgrade. This is a classic beach hotel Holiday Inn but this may be the nicest rooms in any similar hotel in country. The common areas are all very nice too with fast elevators. I was here for work but could come back for the beach itself.

Excellent
The staff was really nice. Excellent location to walk to shopping and nearby restaurants. We had a power outage during our stay due to a storm. FYI, there is no generator to power the whole building, so if you are traveling and know it may be bad weather, it's not the best option. Some rooms had AC, and others didn't. Power was randomly on different circuits. It was definitely an interesting situation for all. Luckily, it got handled, and the power came back on before bedtime. We like the size of suites. But many things need to be cleaned and replaced. Our shower curtain smelled terrible. There was tile broken in the bathrooms along the tub. Microwaves and floors were super dirty. The carpets needed to be replaced. Next renovation just ditch the carpets. It's much cleaner and healthier for all. Overall, our stay was pleasant, and time spent with family is priceless, but unless they get a generator and renovate, we probably won't return.
GGuest UserI stayed at this hotel for work a trip. Prior to me arriving, my manager booked my stay and at the time of the booking he stated that the stay should be completely charged on his credit card. The Hampton Inn employee stated because we are with a group, the security deposit would be $15 per day and I was aware that a charge would be on my personal credit card, which was fine . When I checked in, the lady at the desk said she would charge for the security deposit. I was staying for 3 nights , so there should have been a charge of $45. Once I got to my room, I checked my account and saw there was a $500 charge on my account . I went back down to the front desk and calmly said to the lady, I am just looking for clarity on why my card was charge this amount when that’s not the agreement that was told by phone. I was immediately met with hostility and was told “I’m not going to argue with you, you can talk to the manger.” The manager Sheeri Hightower came out and she was just as rude. She was very dismissive and told me no credit card was on file for my reservation and that’s why I was charge. That was a complete lie , because you can’t even book a reservation without a credit card and if that was the case, why wasn’t that mentioned when I checked in??! So, I went back to my room. As I walked away, I heard Sheeri Hightower and her employee laughing at me as I walked away(Nice way to make your guest feel welcomed.)To make a long story short, I had my manager email over his credit card info so he could cover the reservation. My manager called me and told me he talked to the front desk and it should be handled. Instead of the hotel manager calling me to tell me the issue was resolved and my credit card would be refunded, I heard nothing from them. So I stopped by the front desk again, Just to confirm they received my managers credit card and that it would be refunded . Again, I was met with an attitude and was talked to In a condescending tone. The following day, I was at the bar by the pool and the manager Sheeri Hightower walked behind the bar, looked dead at me and didn’t speak . She turned her back to me and ate a hamburger behind the bar and never acknowledged me. Once she was done, she walked away. The Hampton Inn needs to take a better look at the type of people they are hiring . I have been a customer service manager for 15 years and I would never be this rude to a customer. When my company has another convention, I will recommend they find another hotel. I will never stay here again.
GGuest UserFirst time I have ever entered a hotel room and had serene music playing. It set a relaxing atmosphere to rest in a very comfortable bed in a very nice hotel. The TV was also a smart TV, so we could log into our Youtube and Netflix accounts - when I went to sign out before checking out, it said they auto sign you out upon checkout. Very smart. Also very friendly and helpful desk staff.
LLANThe advantage of the old hotel is that the service standard is guaranteed, the environment is good, the breakfast is good, the front desk girl is warm, and she has been to Beijing, Xi'an and other places in China. The equipment is a bit old.
The room was clean and quiet. Close to restaurants if you needed but had a full kitchen.Bed was comfortable. Didn’t use pool or exercise room. Room was large with a worn area. Only complaint was I would have liked two chairs instead of the office chair. Had grill area outside.
GGuest UserThis was our 1st time in this Sleep in and though the room seemed a little small, other than that it was fine. The front-end employees were excellent with extra soap and towel requests, and it was nice to see they had a breakfast rather than the bagged to go breakfasts some motels are still handing out. They had 2 waffle machines and even had chocolate pancake batter, along with microwave biscuits and burritos, cereal, fruit, pastries etc. The Orange juice machine did break one day. It was nice to see the USA Today available on the table in the lobby.
I recently had a horrible experience at Coastal Inn Suites that I feel compelled to share. The manager and owner live on the property, and the lobby is only open from 7 AM to 10 PM each day. If you need assistance outside of these hours, you're supposed to call a posted after-hours phone number. Unfortunately, this system is extremely flawed. At 5 in the morning, my keycard wasn't working, so I called the after-hours number for help. The man who answered was clearly upset that I had woken him up. After verifying my room number, he confirmed it, but it turned out to be the wrong number. When the key still didn't work, I called him again. He begrudgingly walked over, only to rudely tell me that my friend had locked the door from the inside and that I had to deal with it myself. He then walked away without helping any further. Desperate, I knocked on the door, and to my shock, a random man answered—it turned out the manager had given me the wrong room number. This was a very dangerous situation, as a young woman knocking on a strange man's hotel room door in the early morning could have led to serious consequences. Eventually, I found my correct room. When the owner realized his mistake, he began cussing at me hatefully down the hallway. The next morning, when confronted about his rudeness and the dangerous situation he had put me in, he continued to argue and was extremely rude. This level of unprofessionalism and the potential danger it posed is unacceptable. I would never recommend Coastal Inn Suites to anyone. Save yourself the trouble and find somewhere else to stay.
GGuest UserSam and BJ were absolutely exceptional during the check-in/check out process. Despite what other individuals have posted regarding this location in the past, it is currently immaculate and and even the rate is extremely competitive considering you are only 15-20 minutes away from the beach :-). I look forward to future visits to this location.
