Clean, quiet environment, nice restaurant. Helpful front desk. Reasonable rate. Just only very few wall power socket in the room is bit not convenient.

We have just stayed at Stanneylands a day longer than expected due to personal reasons and I cannot express my gratitude enough to staff who were extremely accommodating and David who made it no trouble to help us stay another night in the same room ! Beds are massive ! And extremely comfy. The restaurant was also amazing - thank you all very much !

It was unfortunate that my floor suffered a power failure at 10-30 pm first night .When power returned I and at least one other room suffered loud intermittent noise coming from air con prohibiting sleep .At 2 am I was forced to go down to reception to demand room change .This was arranged quickly but sleep that night was difficult .I know this was almost certainly a one of situation for this hotel ?They reimbursed the room cost for the first night but not the difference between the initially booked premium room and the basic room I changed to ..For future guests rom 406 gets road noise since they are not allowed to install double glazing being listed building

Sadly the room was not clean, including carpets, bathroom floor and shower/bathtub. Hot breakfast was a buffet, and unfortunately of low quality. Dinner was average at best. Room in the more modern part was extremely hot, although the weather was mild and heating off, and made it very hard to sleep

Perfect stay before flight in the morning. Booked online and when we arrived on Tuesday late afternoon was greeted by a gentleman who checked us in, think he said his name was Chris. He was very polite and helpful and made us feel very welcome. We didn’t eat at the hotel as would have been too late once we got back from watching a show in Manchester.

We came to a wedding fayre here and we loved it. We've only been here for meals so far. But we love the place. The food is so good. It's such a relaxing place. All of the staff are warm and welcoming. We love it so much that's why we've booked our wedding here.
