This is a great spot if you're looking to simply "chill" with excellent food and a friendly staff. It offers a nostalgic escape from city life, but I would have rated it a 5-star if not for the experience with other guests. The property would benefit from being adults-only. I understand that kids can be a part of vacations, but recent experiences suggest that some parents aren’t engaging with their children. Instead, they rely heavily on electronics, which was a major distraction. During a dinner with live music, a nearby family let their children play with loud iPads while being completely disengaged. When the manager asked them to silence the devices at my request, the father had an unreasonable outburst. It’s puzzling why families would vacation together yet fail to interact or enjoy the experience. The older buildings and rooms, while charming, have poor sound insulation, so you might hear every footstep from the room above. Additionally, the activities were poorly managed. We signed up for Pickleball but found the session overbooked, and despite arriving on time, we were ignored by the instructor. Similarly, the candle-making workshop was disrupted by a loud family who showed no respect for the program or other attendees. It’s frustrating to see that common courtesy seems to be lacking in some guests. My own children, now young adults, were raised with respect for others and an understanding that their behavior affects everyone around them. Sadly, this doesn’t seem to be a widespread expectation anymore
