I had high expectations for our recent stay at Legoland Resort on November 1st, particularly because we chose to book directly through their website, hoping for a better experience. Unfortunately, the entire stay left us feeling disappointed and, frankly, robbed of value. We stayed in adventure room and here’s what we encountered. 1. Overpriced Room with No Added Value: We paid £382 just for the room, with park tickets and extras costing even more. Shockingly, we later saw the same room on third-party sites like *********** for only £108. This pricing discrepancy was frustrating, as we felt misled and overcharged for an experience that didn’t meet basic expectations. 2. Check-In Delays and Lack of Support: We arrived at the resort in the morning, expecting an easy check-in process. While staff handed us access cards, there was no guidance on what to do while waiting, leaving us to wander the park without support or clear directions. 3. Disappointing “Reserve and Ride” System: We paid extra for the “Reserve and Ride” package, but the system was chaotic. Many rides were already full and unavailable for reservations, and staff shortages meant several queues were unmanaged, so we had to wait in regular lines despite paying for premium access. The app we relied on to navigate this system was poorly designed and frustrating to use, further diminishing our experience. 4. Substandard Room Amenities and Maintenance: When we finally got to our room, we found the bathwater barely lukewarm, despite setting it to hot. We reported it, but the issue was not resolved, leaving us unable to enjoy a proper bath. Basic amenities were also missing—one small bottle of shower gel and shampoo for a family room, with no additional items like cotton buds or even body moisturiser . Even budget hotels provide more essentials than we found here. 5. Poor Dining Experience at Sky Lounge: The food at the hotel’s Sky Lounge restaurant was overpriced and of poor quality. After just one bite, we left and went outside the resort to find a better meal. For the high prices charged, the food quality was unacceptable. 6. Room Cleanliness and Maintenance Concerns: The room itself was not clean, with loose ceiling tiles that seemed unsafe. We documented this with photos and felt that it was well below the standard for a room at this price. 7. Unengaged Staff and Poor Service: Staff seemed uninterested in providing a good experience. For instance, at breakfast, there was no one to greet us, and we saw staff members huddled in conversation rather than assisting guests. The lack of customer service was disappointing, especially at a family-focused resort like Legoland. When I raised these issues at checkout, the manager offered a £60 refund, which felt inadequate given the range of problems we faced. We had saved up for a special family experience, yet we left feeling deeply disappointed and, frankly, cheated out of what could have been a memorable stay for our daughter. For famil
