A beautiful place to stay. Good location with amenities close by. The room was lovely with access to the beer garden- very comfortable and impeccably clean. Nice atmosphere in the pub and the staff very helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

I’d rate it 4.5/5. Lovely, friendly pub with helpful employees. Our room was lovely, the beer garden was wonderful, as was the coffee van parked outside every morning. It was an easy 5 min walk into the high street. The only reason I’m not giving it 5/5 is because we booked it for the sake of it having A/C, which the rooms did not have & it was very hot when we stayed…they did provide fans in every room though! Would highly recommend!

I attended the trooper with some racing friends it was the last day of the Goodwood Festival and Windsor racing in the Evening, myself and friends had a great experience as James and his team were fast and efficient in serving beer and food and they put the racing on the tv in the beer garden for us to enjoy while holding cider festival also top pub and will certainly be back when visiting the area again. there was a great choice of beer/lager or cider available. The Pies were delicious

Had a fantastic 2 night here. Only a 15 minute walk to the castle. Room was comfy and well equipped. Towels changed daily. Staff friendly and helpful. Lovely beer garden which we enjoyed a couple of times during our stay. Would definitely stay again.

Really good value for money. Room quite small, but everything you need in it and pretty clean. Comfortable beds. Good location, not right in the centre of town, but only a short walk and lots of cafes, restaurants and shops nearby. We stayed on a Thursday and the pub has live music that night. Great singer and atmosphere. Even though the rooms are right but the beer garden, this is not a problem as they close it at 10pm. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

Little atmosphere during the day and poor food. There was a problem with the fryer for the chips so was given oven cooked chips which were tasteless, anemic and soggy. Drinks are drinks so no issue there but plenty of other pubs to choose from.

We loved our stay at the Windsor Trooper!! The staff was welcoming and helpful, food is incredible, and the accommodations were cosy and just what we needed for our last night in the UK before flying home. It's an easy trip to Heathrow from there. When you come to the hotel or the restaurant, make sure you do so on a night that Leona is doing the cooking with her catering/chef company, Leona's Bespoke Catering!! The dinner we had, made by her, was exquisite! It was so good that I think I will remember it for the rest of my life! At the time they were doing Sunday dinner, and that's what we came for. In the mornings, the coffee cart hits the spot. We hope to make a visit back here next time we're in the UK, God-willing! Note: I had to adjust my review date as we were visiting there last year, and so Leona's menu may have changed - the food by her will be just as delicious though!

Fantastic Bank Holiday with live music! Despite a non-stop downpour, the pub were prepared with big umbrellas and cosy seating outside. The bands were fab and drinks reasonably priced for Windsor. Friendly bar staff and friendly clientele.

Excellent value for a simple, pleasant, clean and surprisingly quiet en suite double room less than 15 minutes walk from the castle. Helpful, unfussy welcome in a nice local pub too. Access via separate stairway at side of pub so no problems on coming and going. Check in for us was after 3 and check out " just leave the keys in the room" was by 11 am.
