The hotel was quite good. From the hotel, driving north on 107, many stops with short trails to waterfalls, beautiful scenery and wonderful little village with gorgeous Church about 18 km from hotel. We loved the area.

Fantastic hotel staff
I only stayed one night, but this was one of the best hotel experiences ever. The staff gave me ice for a sore back after driving a lot. They also walked around and chatted with the hotel guest at dinner and were all around super amazing! They even put out a paper with today’s weather at each guest’s breakfast table…The hotel view is also spectacular!

I only stayed one night, but this was one of the best hotel experiences ever. The staff gave me ice for a sore back after driving a lot. They also walked around and chit-chatted with the hotel guest at dinner and were all around super amazing! Wir haben das Hotel im Zuge eines Skiurlaubs auf Grund der guten Rezessionen gebucht und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Leider nicht direkt am Skigebiet, aber mit einer guten Busanbindung (für Skisportler gratis und direkt unter dem Hotel) ins Skigebiet Heiligenblut. Fernab von Massentourismus lädt das kleine aber feine Hotel Tauernstern zur stressfreien Entspannung ein, vermittelt eine sehr familiäre Atmosphäre, kein Wunder es ist ja ein Familienbetrieb. Die Belegschaft ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, es gibt nichts zu bemängeln. Das gesamte Hotel ist sauber, schön und modern eingerichtet. Ebenso sind die Zimmer modern, und für mich wichtig: es gibt bequeme Betten. Besonders gefallen hat uns der Wellnessbereich mit Sauna, Dampfsauna und Ruheraum. Da das Hotel eben klein ist konnte man dort manchmal sogar alleine entspannen. Hervorzuheben ist die Küche (es kocht die Mutter des Hauses) die für Groß und Klein wunderbare Gerichte zaubert und keine Wünsche offen lässt. Es gibt 5 Gänge: Vorspeise, Salat, Suppe Nachspeise und eine Hauptmahlzeit, bei der man die Wahl zwischen vegetarisch, Fisch oder Fleisch hat. Uns hat alles geschmeckt, also Halbpension ist unbedingt zu empfehlen, auf das Abendessen sollte man nicht verzichten. Auch beim Frühstück gibt es nichts zu bemängeln. Abends an der Bar ist nicht viel los, und die Belegschaft offen für Gespräche. Man fühlt sich wie ein Teil der Familie. Wir haben den Urlaub sehr genossen, vielen Dank liebes Tauernstern Team!!

Ich bin beruflich sehr viel unterwegs und deshalb umso mehr überrascht von diesem Hotel. Kleines feines Hotel im Ortskern von Winklern Sehr freundliches und unkompliziertes Eincecken Großzügige uns saubere Zimmer mit sehr guter Matratze. Sehr sehr gutes Abendessen und Frühstück.... ein Kompliment der Küche. Kleiner schöner Wellnessbereich und der kuschlige Bademantel schon am Zimmer. Alles tip top.... Das familiengeführte Hotel kann ich nur weiterempfehlen.

Io e il fidanzato abbiamo soggiornato 4 giorni la settimana di ferragosto con mezza pensione. Perfetto per chi cerca tranquillità seppur in questa settimana "calda". Ottima colazione, cena molto curata e non scontata per il servizio mezza pensione. Personale gentile. Camere spaziose e pulite. Lo consiglio vivamente. Complimenti a Sabine e al figlio Lucas!

Jamais vu de chambre double standard aussi grande... avec un dressing spécifique... propre, calme, l'abri moto, accueil simple, le sourire, et la demi-pension de qualité, sans esbroufe, équilibrée. Literie impeccable. Le seul point négatif est que le serveur a compté comme entier un 2° verre à moitié plein (du premier) pour finir la bouteille de prosecco. Nous ne l'avons vu qu'après. Il faut prévenir que c'est payant de finir le fond de la bouteille.
