Beautiful country pub but close enough for Weymouth and Dorchester. Well worth a visit! Food was amazing as well 😃

Lovely large room separate from the pub. Good food and service is excellent

My sister and I had dinner in the pub when we were staying in a cottage in the area. Booking a table online was easy and when we arrived, it was a lovely welcome. The pub is light and airy and had a lively buzzy atmosphere. There is a good selection on the menu and they brought our drinks to the table. We both opted for pizzas, which were delicious. They were also rather large and we regretted ordering a side of garlic bread! Because we couldn’t manage it all, they wrapped the leftovers for us to take away. The only room for improvement was the fact that they brought the bill without us asking for it. The assumption was made that because we didn’t finish our pizzas, we didn’t want dessert; we might have not eaten all the pizzas to intentionally leave room for dessert! We weren’t bothered either way so paid the bill and left but we are both self confessed pudding monsters and if we’d been presented with the dessert menu, just in case, we might well have ordered one. If we’d been that bothered we’d have said something, but I thought it was worth mentioning. It didn’t spoil the evening and if in the area, I’d have no hesitation in eating here again.

Comfortable large accommodation. Lovely people and Sunday roast in the pub was great. Quiet little hamlet.

Last-minute decision to stay and boy oh boy were we pleasantly surprised! A lovely restaurant, dinner, breakfast, lodging, and the facilities were imaginative and SO hospitable! Bravo!

Excellent loved the meal And the accommodation Very friendly would return and recommend lovely atmosphere Clean, accommodating, would love to go back maybe for a couple Of Nights as we only stayed for one night

Lovely couple & food in the attached pub was great plus the quiz night Twin room needs a bit updating Floor needs smoothing & more rugs, bit hard on the feet
