The hotel was the usual Premier Inn standard, with clean, well appointed rooms where everything worked as it should. However, despite being contacted by email the day before I arrived I was greeted with a sign saying NO FOOD was available unless you had a 'meal deal' booked, which, for me is not value for money and was not mentioned in the email. This is not what you want to hear after a long drive as I was now faced with finding somewhere to actually eat! I'm disappointed this was not thought important enough for advanced warning. I've used Premier Inn for a number of years, but the slowly slipping standards will make me search for alternate options now.
