Wonderful friendly people, good food in the restaurant, our room was lovely with lots of natural light and it also had a balcony. The breakfast was great. And all this came at a price that was very reasonable. If we get the chance to visit Witten again, this is definitely the hotel we would choose. The gentleman on reception, Holger, was very welcoming and made us feel at home.

Beruflich fahre ich immer in dieses Hotel und fühle mich "wie zuhause". Das Team ist supernett und das Zimmer, wie auch ales andere, sehr sauber. Das Hotel ist zwar alt, aber das fällt nicht ins Gewicht.

Tagsüber Baulärm im Hotel. Damit für Geschäftsbesprechung äußerst störend. Zimmer bei Ankunft eiskalt (offenes Fester bei 0° C). Im Restaurant 2 von 3 Bestellungen unvollständig.

Das gesamte Hotel ist sehr in die Jahre gekommen und strahlt einen verblichenen, morbiden 1980er-Charme aus, sowohl gleich beim Betreten der Lobby als auch später auf dem Zimmer. Seit der Errichtung des Gebäudes scheint sich hier nicht mehr viel getan zu haben. Eine Komplettsanierung ist absolut überfällig. Andererseits war mein Zimmer sauber, ausreichend groß und (soweit dies angesichts des hohen Alters der Einrichtung überhaupt noch möglich ist) gepflegt. Bequemes Bett mit guter Matratze. Kleines Bad mit einer „historischen“ Duschkabine aus Zeiten, zu denen man von einem bodentiefen Einstieg noch nicht einmal träumte, jedoch ebenfalls in angemessenem Reinigungszustand. Das Frühstücksbuffet war ordentlich und das Personal ausgesprochen freundlich. Praktisch ist auch die Lage des Etablissements nur wenige Gehminuten vom Wittener Hauptbahnhof entfernt. Fazit: Für eine Übernachtung vielleicht noch gerade akzeptabel, jedoch für einen längeren Wohlfühlaufenthalt sicherlich nicht geeignet.
