Amazing views and service

Great place to stay, small but clean rooms, bathrooms could be upgraded but all in all a gem of a spot.

Off the beaten track after a long drive from Calgary, we arrived early evening, greeted by a bar of locals! The atmosphere was great and they were very friendly. The staff member, a lovely lady from Hawaii, was doing everything from checking us in, pouring our drinks and cooking our delicious food! She is to be commended. Although the accommodation was dated it met all of our needs and had drink making facilities. A lovely location

They parked us next to an RV site that had an un-capped sewage drain. We soon realized the entire septic system was flowing out of the uncapped drain, into the parking area and into the stream. The most disgusting environmental and human health violation I have experienced while camping.

We stayed last night. The bed was comfy and the room was cute but the known shower issues were terrible! We had read reviews about the hot water issue and thought maybe others were being fussy. We are regular people and knew that the ranch was not a 5 star hotel. We appreciate simple accommodations but even simple accommodations should have a working shower. When we checked in we were given the shower instructions. This morning we tried everything to get it to work. We were not in a position to have a maintenance person come in to get the shower to work after just spending some intimate time together. We decided to let the very nice manager know the problems we had. We were not asking for a refund but she said that if we were local the owner often gave gift certificates when problems came up but she was going to call the owner. She talked to the owner who then wanted to talk with me. Instead of apologizing, she asked me when I knew of the water issue and why I didn’t call maintenance. Terrible customer service by the owner about an issue that is known problem. The manager offered a $10 refund of the $100+ night stay. Shame on you! Your attitude towards me on the phone was unacceptable and lack of customer service appalling. My advice to others: stay away!

Top-notch clealiness. An older property, well maintained. Prime rib dinner was excellent.

We booked through *******. Nowhere in the description did it say that this was a camp ground and not a regular hotel. We arrived a few minutes before 10pm.When we arrived everything was dark, and we had to call a number for someone to help us. I called the number and a lady answered. When I told her that we had made a reservation through *******, she was rude and told me that she didn't check ******* and acted very confused and annoyed that we were there. This lady ended up calling a different lady who was the one to check us in. This lady also looked very annoyed that we were there. Somehow she couldn't tell that I had paid already through Expedia.The rate she quoted me was less than what we had paid to *******. The room was very clean, but the lock on the door felt flimsy and didn't have a deadbolt or latch to prevent people from coming in. We put a chair in front of the door to try to stay safe, but it was rather uncomfortable given that we have 2 small children. We were also in the middle of nowhere, so we didn't know where to go if we left. We felt very unwelcomed! Why would someone post their hotel on ******* and be surprised when someone actually books a room through it???! The grounds were very nice, but we were glad to leave the next morning.

I don't understand why this place does not have a higher rating. I would think most if not all are coming to go fishing as was I. I found it all that I needed and then some. I didn't know about the restaurant ahead of time, not sure they mention that, had I would have eaten meals there. The place was clean, comfortable and very affordable considering what the other options were there if one were to need a place to go fish the Mo. I wasn't there much so it was totally fine what I need. Clean, comfortable, had AC (didn't think it would but it did), and incredible tv channels -though I didn't watch much. All in all I'd give it a 9.5/10.

Room was small; poor lighting; baseboard heater was dirty; unattractive & needs updated. On the outside there is a nice view of the creek.
