What makes a good hotel? The staff. And the staff at the Sante Royale in Warmbad are top class: unobtrusive, attentive, fast, friendly. The food is first class. In the morning you have to choose from three main courses for the evening and mealtime. Whatever we had there in the week was cooked to perfection and delicious. The starters and desserts on offer at the buffet are plentiful and varied, because there is always something new as well as the standard offering. The breakfast offering is also designed in this way. Personally, the only thing I missed was the bacon. There is a few other things you should know: The parking fee in the adjacent parking garage depends on the length of stay. We paid €2 per day for a 7-day stay. The town of Warmbad actually consists almost exclusively of the hotel with the Silbertherme and a miners' spa hotel with spa park. There are many hiking trails, a mountain bike trial (unfortunately no bikes in the hotel at the moment in June 23) and various free offers in the hotel (e.g. internet, library, muscle relaxation) and the thermal baths (water aerobics, fitness, infrared). The lively guided trips with the Kaufmann travel agency to Karlsbad (€22) or Dresden are highly recommended. There are various beach chairs and loungers available. The view of the garden also relaxes the stressed-out soul of a manager. The picturesque town of Wolkenstein is a walk away, and there is also the train station, although you should take a taxi from there. The thermal baths are in good new condition, there are many well-kept saunas. The hotel was apparently opened in 2015, the large rooms (2nd floor) are spacious and well-kept. I really don't understand some of the reviews here: Why do people fuss about the lighting being too dark, the balconies being all the way through, or the small TVs? There are even some who know better when it comes to seasoning the food. In fact, the lighting in the bathrooms may be a little too dim, but that is no reason to downgrade the hotel. No one is left in the dark here. Criticism is obviously responded to with passion and as much enthusiasm as possible. As I said, the staff here are first-class.
