I purposely picked this hotel because it had an indoor pool but after checking in, I saw there was a sign that said the pool was closed. It was slightly disappointing. The staff was friendly though and the included breakfast had good options. The room wasn’t the cleanest but it wasn’t the worst.

There was a line 4 people deep requesting different rooms when I arrived. When I got into my room I was hit with a giant wall of stale cigarette smoke. I briefly considered asking for a different room before realizing that likely all the rooms were... somewhat flawed. A fine stop for a 7 hr cat nap on my way from NH to FL but the smell was a bit overwhelming and woke me up earlier than planned. 5 hrs of sleep later I'm back on the road if only to avoid that smell LOL. Drive an extra 1 hr south to Richmond and maybe try a hotel there, all the DC area hotels I've stayed in were always... not great.

It was a good stay for a short trip! Staff was friendly and check in went smoothly. A lot of stufff around from restaurants to Walmart.

The pool was in-operable, there should have been a shield to cover the window where the pool is located. The hot tub look like it had fungus, should not be visible to guests.
When pool is not working, the hotel she note that on their site especially when guests expect that amenity.
Also, bathroom needs updating, shower curtains are un-sanitary. There was a stain on the bed curtain, that goes around the bed, look like it could have been dried up body fluids. The hotel can really use some updates, oh and the room air conditioner is extremely loud.

Check in person was wonderful. However there was some kind of patio right under the windows with people partying and screaming until almost midnight. When I called to ask the front desk if she could ask them just to keep it a bit quieter she was very rude and said they were “outside and she couldn’t do anything, but fine I guess I can try”. The people partying were on hotel grounds right below all the windows and I wasn’t being a Karen, I was extremely nice about it.

I booked quickly and unfortunately didn't read recent reviews first. Room was in poor condition... carpet was gross, mold in bathroom, peeling ceiling, etc. Shower was nice and hot and the AC worked well. Walls between rooms are soundproofed, however, you can hear doors slamming from hallway and toilets flushing from above. Pick top floor (4th) if you stay here, though you should find a cleaner hotel.

The hotel definitely doesnt look like the picture. Its old and outdated but liveable for short stays. And the beds are worn out. But for the price a room here serve the purpose for a short stay. The only inconvenience was me having to keep going to the front desk for keycard activations, my key card kept deactivating.
