Woodstock Inn and Suites

On the positive side, the staff was very polite. There is parking on the street but no true hotel parking. The room was shabby but functional. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was not great. The coffee was first luke warm and the next batch was very weak. Given that other hotels were more expensive in the area, it is economical to stay here.

Booked a bargain priced room and was relegated to the basement. Room was dark with a small window overlooking loading docks next door. Middle of night delivery truck left motor running for nearly one hour. Floor was lifting and uneven. Breakfast was minimal. Staff non existent but could be reached by phone. Parking was 1 block away in church parking lot.

If your looking for a reasonably price hotel room to spend a couple nights you won’t be disappointed with the Econo Lodge in Woodstock. The rooms are basic but provide everything needed for a good night sleep. My room (#206) was clean, the bathroom was a good size and had been renovated. It had a hairdryer and even had shampoo. The bed was comfortable, the bedding clean, and the pillows comfortable. There was a flatscreen TVs, a small desk, a coffee maker, and even a night table light and clock. Also it had its own heating unit. My room and the hotel were quite. I never heard a peep. The check in/check out staff were friendly and efficient in carry out their duties. This is not a Marriott hotel but your also not paying Marriott prices. If you want a clean comfortable hotel at a good price you won’t regret choosing this hotel. I will definitely stay here again the next time I’m in Woodstock Ontario. Thanks (A side not to the maintenance crew, the top holder for the handheld shower unit it broken in this room and should be replaced. The second holder for the handheld did the job but was a little difficult for a 6’ tall man. It was no big deal but needs repair).

This was one of those cases of finding anything you can. Everything in the area was sold out when we arrived in Woodstock. I booked the room then read all the horrid reviews. So our expectations upon arrival were not high. For the most part, we were pleasantly surprised. It seems the new owner has been taking great strides towards improving the establishment. Our room was on the same level as the lobby so not great number of stairs to climb. The bathroom was completely refurbished and very modern. Nice flatscreen TV in the bedroom and a very comfortable bed with new linen. Towels in the bath room were not high quality but were new. A generous supply of coffee was supplied for the coffee maker. With my deteriorating hearing I did have problems with the front desk clerk’s accent but she was eager to please and repeated herself as often as required. The parking situation does make one queasy. Either on-street parking in a sort of dodgy part of town, or the hotel lot which is neither illuminated nor monitored. Some improvements in this area would probably pay off with increased rentals. A couple of friendly pubs, a up-market coffee house on the corner, and a lovely Indian restaurant nearby, make this location quite attractive. They offer a limited continental breakfast in the lobby area. I would give this 4 stars except for the parking issue

I stayed at the Econolodge for a couple of weeks having just emigrated to Canada from the UK. I was doing some family research in the Woodstock Library so it was ideally placed. The room was large and very clean. The staff running (or maybe owning) the hotel were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The room had a comfortable bed, desk and desk chair, fridge, microwave and coffee machine. All in all, a very satisfactory visit and I will stay here again without question on my next visit to Woodstock.

Terrible place. We had a basement room. When we asked why we were put in a basement room when the hotel is empty, we were told that is the part they were cleaning. The Internet did not work. Only one channel on the TV worked. AC did not work. The bathtub did not drain after a shower. Still full the next AM. Did not stay for our second night. Emailed the company twice to lodge our complaints, but still have not heard back from them.

I stayed for (thankfully) one night. This was booked on line with credit card because it had good reviews. When we arrived and asked for early checkin (2pm) we were told that we would have to pay and extra $20 (to get a room that was already “cleaned” and ready). We then had to pay a $200.00 security deposit. Our 1st floor room was in the basement with basically no window, hall carpets hadn’t been vacuumed with huge stains. TV in our room wasn’t even 20”. To top it off beds have plastic sheets. This place is a dump and complete rip off! Good for a pay by the hour stay.
